If so, what did you think of it?

I bought it during the B2G2 PS2 sale at GameStop a couple weeks ago.

Mostly wondering where I should put it in my queue of backlog.

I thought the story, music, and characters were great for the most part.

The gameplay on the other hand.....

Well if you can sit through the rather dull gameplay I don't think it's too bad, but it is a step back from other 2D Tales games in terms of it.

I actually really enjoyed the game. Biggest issue easily however was they took out the voice acting for the second half of it.

Symphonia does have the better battle system, but I liked everything else in Legendia more. Characters, story, music, etc.

plus keep in mind Legendia is two games in one. After you finish the main game you unlock what is essentially Tales of Legendia 2.

This exactly. The best part was the cohesiveness of the party and that made me realize just how much Symphonia lacked in that department

What is so bad/different about Legendia's gameplay that makes it worse than the other Tales games? I've been interested in trying out Legendia myself but have kept my distance due to the naysayers

it's a 2d battle system and not a 3d one so there's just not as many options as you'd get in the others. Similar to Phantasia and Destiny and the like
