From: Ayuyu | #188 /v/ was so destroyed by this game holy crap, there are like tons of KS threads and they're filled with people who claim they started exercising and trying to socialize.
Good for them, I say. Everyone needs some inspiration to improve.
I'm sure a lot of people think "hurr changing ur life over video games," but I don't think it's any different than a book or a song really hitting you where it hurts, you know?
But I've always thought more highly of video games as an art form than most people. That was probably the most pretentious sentence of all time, but that's what I think.

I feel like this is all an elaborate joke that everyone is in on, trying to push people to read as much of it as possible to see if it ever becomes not terrible.
My god.

I wrote a piece on this. Well, mostly it was advertising the game, but I feel the title's done something very unique: it creates discomfort from the onset, attacks the player, and makes them slowly grow more comfortable. It's really a fascinating product.
FInished all the routes and now I'm just blitzing through for other choices/scenes.

If you wake up at a different time, in a different place, could you wake up as a different person? [HERO'S PLUNGE] http://img.imgcake.com/finegifdy.gif
Oh hey, it's been a week and a half and I can reasonably expect almost everyone to have finished reading.
Shizune and Lilly route SPOILERS for the rest of this post.
I dislike Shizune route. And for a while I've known why and just never shared why: it feels like someone didn't think it through. That simple.
Phase posted... Addition: Also, after making the obviously bad choice, the bad end isn't particularly the greatest and while the general take-away message for that bad end makes sense, the particular circumstances... don't.
Also there's something I didn't like about the first H scene of that route but I can figure out no way of bringing it up without spoiling it, so yeah. I'll bring it up after more people have finished all the routes. (doubly so after getting a bit into Lilly's route where my suspicion's confirmed)
Okay, like, I understand "cheating on your girlfriend with her best friend" cannot end well. That's kind of... a given? I mean, duh. "Don't cheat on your girlfriend with her best friend because it turns out she's bi and actually hot for her and it WASN'T continuing to be incredibly awkward at all this entire time and you'll as if you should give them space to resolve their problems and this will cause you to grow distant from your girlfriend" is kinda... wut?
As for the first H scene, Shizune acts incredibly stupid during it. Shizune KNOWS Hisao has a problem (she sees the pills during act 1 so it's either that or she thinks he's a drug dealer). She might not know it's a heart condition (I don't remember them ever discussing it even), but she she's a smart girl and KNOWS it's not something obvious and it's not something external. It's not a minor problem since he transferred in his senior year. That leaves heart, brain, and lung and she can be relatively sure it's not a brain problem. (Yamaku doesn't admit mental handicap and he has no obvious motor control problems) That leaves heart and lung, both of which are potentially fatal problems during sex. So WTF did she tie Hisao up effectively gagging him and leaving no way to tell her if he was having a problem? Even Hideaki (and he's essentially Shizune-lite) in Lilly's route after a grand total of one minute of knowing you figured out you have a heart problem.
There's also the fact that Shizune's route induces a lot of plot holes.
First, Tanabata is before summer break. Except it has to be after for Lilly's route to work. Whoops.
As I noted earlier, the reason Akira and Lilly are at the Hakamichi's is because it's Akira's last day in Japan and she wanted to spend time with Hideaki (Hideaki hangs out with Akira in Lilly's route too, so this is quite reasonable) and Lilly's obviously there to spend time with Akira (as a side note, Lilly doesn't go back to Scotland in Shizune's route, likely because without your influence Hanako probably worried her too much). Except, Shizune's gotta know this and in that context acting "normal" towards Lilly is being a complete and total jerk.
And just because that isn't enough, Iwanako's letter comes after summer break. Except every route but Rin's concludes before summer break and in Rin's route it comes before summer break as well. Though in Rin's route there's a minor timing problem since it comes before mid-June and Hanako's birthday is July 10th, meaning the party was early July and in Hanako/Lilly's routes the letter arrives then, but that's literally ONE throwaway line you'd never notice that could've easily changed to early July (or Hanako's birthday could be changed to a date in mid-June) with no consequences and as far as I can tell there's no timing cue in Emi's route.
To fix Shizune's route would require changes all around, so it's definitely not a coordination problem...
Ah, well, crap. When I tried to bring it over from the other computer in the house which I downloaded it on over to my computer, my progress wasn't brought over with me. I'll have to go back and speed through the two scenarios I already 100%ed. Saving Rin's for last.

I'm a cat person, but I can still appreciate a SuperNiceDog.
Finished Emi and Hanako's routes, at home for the weekend so Lilly is floating in hiatus at the moment sadly.
*minor spoilers*
Emi's angry expression was kind of misleading. When I first saw it I didn't even register she was angry until the game flat out told me. For the the other characters it's been pretty obvious, but I feel they missed the mark there.
Completely expected Hisao to put candles on Hanako's birthday cake and for her to trigger hard over it.
More importantly, what happened with Kenji's book thievery? I was honestly more interested in that than in whatever was going on in the main plot at the time. I'm hoping Lilly's route provides some answers to the important questions we're all asking.
Neither was as good as Rin's route, but at least I could play through them without dozing off like with Shizune.

WazzupGenius00 posted... Odds are that was done by 4chan, right?
Which of the other top 10 would you expect to be ahead of KS? Basically just UMvC3 and GameFAQs just has pretty eh coverage for fighting games so people just don't come here for that.
Everything else up there has been out for months, has pretty much no FAQ appeal, or in the case of the Tales game, isn't even out in NA for two more months.
