Last Match: Kid Miracleman wins in a debated match.
There will be spoilers for Avatar and Final Fantasy 10 in this topic.
Aang
From Avatar: The Last Airbender, Aang is the incarnation of the Avatar, the manifestation of the world in human form. As the Avatar, Aang has the ability to manipulate (or bend) all four elements air, water, earth, and fire. He is extremely agile and quick, often defending himself without bending in moves similar to Aikido; his airbending principles and personality emphasize non-aggression. Aang refuses to kill in battle.
Aang is a natural airbender and it is his signature element in combat; he is able to fight on par with powerful masters or against large numbers of opponents, creating tornadoes and large gusts of air, though he usually airbends for defensive purposes. Aang can also waterbend by creating tidal waves; earthbend by manipulating large boulders; firebend with large kicks and blasts; and even energybend, stripping an opponent of his powers (though Aang's spirit must be stronger than the person he is energybending). As a defense mechanism Aang can also enter the Avatar State, in which he has access to multiple elements at once and his powers are increased significantly; he can also fly while in the Avatar State.
Sin
Sin is the primary antagonist from the game Final Fantasy X. Sin resembles a huge whale which has plagued the lands of Spira for many years. Sin's primary form of attack is gravity based attacks, the best one of those being Giga-Graviton. Sin is resistant against most attacks used against him and is capable of forming a shield around him to repel all but the most powerful of attacks. It is thought for a long time that only the final Aeon could defeat Sin, however the party managed to disprove this by dispatching of Yu Yevon and restoring peace to Spira.
This battle will take place somewhere with a lot of water, as long as it is neutral! Write ups are, of course, summations.
It's... relatively easy to deal with Sin. He's just a shell/armor, and not invincible at that (FFX party straight up breaks the things wings and punches a hole through it's forehead practically). Past that, you jump in and kill the Final Aeon and then Yu Yevon has nowhere to go and gets taken down easy enough.
When it comes down to it, Aang's able to fly about and is generally too small for Sin to hit short of trying to body slam him or AoE, and if he goes for that, Aang's got his tons of defenses and can simply blast his way into Sin, which if you're dealing with something as large as Sin, punching your way in is generally a safer bet for killing it unless you're literally able to nuke the whole thing at once.

Eventually he punches some rocks through the (relatively) squishy head. Really don't see Sin being able to hit him, but yeah Aang should be able to get through him with earth bending eventually.

I tried to have a fierce rivalry with SuperNiceDog, but he made me look worse than a GameFAQs Contest!
You'd also think he wouldn't get punched through by a bunch of nobody guardians! Two sword guys, one spear guy, a guy with a volleyball, a girl with grenades, some generic monsters, and black magic.
Earth and firebending have enough offense to break through Sin.

really leaning Sin here though waiting for arguments
wouldn't Aang have to get inside Sin? Assuming we aren't going with those who can straight up destroy Sin outright Aang would have to blast a hole on Sin (he could probably do that) fight his way through to the core or whatever. Fight Jecht then Yevon etc..."
Plus there's the whole "Giga Graviton" move.
Can he rest / heal up while inside Sin if we go with the "Fight Jecht route"?

Aang's rocks aren't to be underestimated. They can totally bring down buildings and ships if concentrated right. And yeah firebending can help too.
I just see it more likely that Aang finds a weak point on Sin and drills it before Sin actually gets any offense on him.
And the debris from Sin wrecking through things doesn't ever hit Sin's vulnerable spots because he's not an idiot. It's not really the same as a guy shooting rocks at you all concentrated like. I'd also argue that Aang's output beats debris falling on you considering the rocks he can hurl have momentum higher than gravity and a few feet should get you.

He never got it off except like... once though. Against the Crusaders, and the entire party and a lot of stragglers survive it regardless. Otherwise Sin never got it off even against the airship that was fighting him for an extended time, or against the party when it was literally on him.
So, he takes a million years to charge it up, it's not all that powerful or accurate since a lot survived it, and it doesn't hit things close enough to it.

Kinglicious posted... To be blunt, what exactly can aang do that he would do?
well Aang does not like to kill but to incapacitate his enemies (well unless you count when he is in pure rage mode like when Appa was stolen etc) By the end of the series he has control of Avatar State (which is basically his wtfhax mode) some stuff he has shown while in AS
Tsunamis (even when he wasn't in AS he made the ocean submerge the entire land and put out a huge fire) WTF Fire Machine gun style rock shard bullet storm Tornados Elemental Shield (Rock Water Air Fire shield of doom which he can also ram into you with) A lot of other stuff (vid of final fight) + stuff he has done when he wasn't in control of AS
Once Aang goes Avatar State the gloves are off and he will beat the holy **** out of his target with everything but he will not finish them (he just smashed Ozai silly then when it looked like he was about to finish it he stopped then did his shenanigans move to stop him or whatever he did lol)
though not sure what he would do / how he would respond against something like Sin though
<shrug>

I forget how it went with the giga graviton mini boss fight thing
did it go "fight Sin's face then when you "won" there was some cutscene with the ship blasting a huge hole on Sin or was it just after fight then hole appeared or whatever.

Oh, okay. After you win, Sin goes 'Roar', a big glowy hole appears below his head. The airship flies into it, and then everyone is in the weird parallel dimension to fight Seymour Omnis
