I'm comfortable with the concept, you just have to make sure you look at different places, and then talk with the person you choose a few times. I had the lady come over to my place to see the baby and visit, I've been over there during different times, my wife the same, etc. It *really* helped when my parents took her to a different state for 2 nights... it was tough then, but helped us get experience dealing with it. That we might only have one (health issues make it tough to be there for more than one) makes daycare that much more appealing, because now she has built in little friends.
