Sooooo much effort went into this game. Why was this on the PSP? Why wasn't it marketed like it should have been?

Oh well, thank god for HD collections.

Yeah its bosses are all mechs and you can't crawl. The enemies have worse sight than they did in the first two games.

I for sure would not call it MGS5. It doesn't feel enough like an MGS game.

Yeah. The bosses aren't as good as the previous games in the series, but I've always preferred Human vs. Human style bosses in general. There's also some gameplay quirks I don't like, but hey, PSP port. It still has a good story, good characters, good level design, a ton of new gameplay options, and actual character development for Big Boss. This should have been MGS5.

Anything involving Big Boss deserves more publicity.

It was originally meant to be MGS5, but Konami didn't like the idea of MGS5 being a portable game. Should have been on a console, but you can clearly see how it was meant to be a major game. Might be the second best game in the series.

I'd rank them 2>1>4>3>PW. PW has a number of little things that drag it down (where did crawling go), even if the overall package is comparable to the rest of the series.

I like Peace Walker as much as the next guy (probably more, even), but it's just not on par with the main series, IMO. It's a great game to be sure, but not MGS 1-4 great.

I don't value MGS4 too highly to begin with! Peace Walker is the most gameplay-centric game in the series, and I really get into that. The story, characters, and music are all ace, too. You can tell it was made for a portable, so certain aspects were sacrificed, but it's right there with the rest of them for me.

also, big boss as the lead always helps.

Beat everything. That final twist. Yeah. NOW it's a true MGS game!
