I know this is a bit late, but I haven't been able to see my final battle entry score and I wanted to use it. I also find it a bit suspicious that over half of the entrants had no points...

Why is that suspicious for the battle contest? If you get a pick wrong, you lose everything you haven't banked, and a lot of people just kept pushing it without ever banking. So of course, if you get a good streak and lose it all on 1 pick you might just give up. 0 points for the entire contest.

Especially since on the last poll, it's not like there was a huge incentive to store your points and not take risks. Few were in the running for a prize. If you were reasonably high but not perfect, you had all the incentive in the world to pick a wild, outlandish upset in the hope of winning a prize worth actual $ since it's not like you were losing anything but 10 karma at most. Everyone with a relatively low amount of points had a similar motivation since your score meant nothing unless you beat SBallen and you might as well take a crazy pick and risk everything to beat him. That's the route I took-though I left myself with 1 point.
