This will be a bracket-voting contest held on Bracketmaker or Challonge or whatever the cool kids are doing nowadays.
- You have unlimited nominations - You can not personally nominate the same thing more than once (and you cannot abuse this rule using alts) (and this includes if you nominated it in the other topic) - Entries can be fictional organizations from any myth, legend or media source, etc, etc, insert semantic rules here about the difference between an organization and a team, whatever, who cares - Please indicate where the fictional group you're nominating is from. If I can't figure it out myself, I will have to throw out the nomination.
This will be a bracket of 128.
Nominations will close AT THE DAWN OF THE FINAL YEAR OF MANKIND: 12:00:00 AM Midnight January 1st, 2012, Eastern Standard Time
318 unique organizations have been nominated.
Of those: 27 noms have >= 5 votes 49 noms have >= 4 votes 83 noms have >= 3 votes 142 noms have >= 2 votes
So it is not completely hopeless to start nominating new entries, but you should probably focus on seconding entries that need the help, because they have a greater chance of making it into the final bracket.
The tally is upcoming in the next post, so please hold your votes until I've posted the update:

Evil League of Evil (Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog) man how did I not think of that one.
Man some of the things being nominated are more than a stretch to put in this contest. The 11 Supernovas aren't even a team, they are just the 11 highest bounty rookies in One Piece. Many have never interacted or even met each other and they are in no way united or working together. There are also some pretty redundent noms, like smaller groups within larger organizations where both are nominated.
Also I misunderstood and nominated some stuff I nominated in the original topic. If you don't have anything to tell you which of them those are I can go through and try to list the ones that shouldn't count.

That is only the most egregious one I have noticed. There are a lot of things in the list that have no business here.
EDIT: I guess there are only a few I fully disagree with, none of which seem likely to make it. Otherwise there are just some combining that could be done (Are White Council and White Court from Dresden Files any different? Should Hogwarts be included along with all the houses?) and a few teams I didn't think were the kind of thing that fit here but if Boko lets them in then I'm fine with it.

All right.... Smaller groups within larger organizations are fine as long as each group has its own structure of some sort.
I'll remove 11 Supernovas from the list. Anything else you could point out as being ineligible for being an organization, I'd appreciate. I can't really look through everyone's lists for this kind of thing.
The old topic is still open, so I can get rid of your duplicate votes myself. Many thanks for stepping up and pointing it out; I'll take care of it shortly.

I'd say the Furniture from Beauty and the Beast and the guests at Mad Hatter's party shouldn't be here. Those are just groups of people not an organized team/whatever. That would be like me nominating New Yorkers because they all live in New York. Though I suppose if it were worded more as Beast's Staff I wouldn't have an issue with that one.
Nine Circles of Hell (Dante's Inferno). Again this is just people in the same place rather than any real organization. Unless this is meant to just mean Satan and his Demons that are in the Nine Circles.
Saints was just a name for the two brothers, I think that would fall under some of the examples you posted in the first topic as not being eligible.
Those are the only ones I really disagree with, but I can see arguments for all of them as opposed to the 11 Supernovas. Of course I don't recognize or know a majority of the things nominated.

- I'll change the name of the Singing Furniture to the "Beast's Staff" - I agree that makes more sense. It was sort of a placeholder name, anyway.
- I was under the impression the Mad Hatter's Tea Party was a recurring event. From Wikipedia: "Time has punished him by eternally standing still at 6 pm (tea time)". I can't seem to find anything else to back this up. Does anyone know if the same guests (March Hare et al) are always at the tea party? My knowledge is slightly lacking here.
- Nine Circles of Hell I saw as similar to nominating a prison, like it's an "institution". Definitely didn't see it as meaning the people being punished, but more a reference to the literal "organization" of the circles, i.e., the designation of each circle for a different type of sin, as well as the demons in charge. Willing to put this one up to debate, I guess.
- I had to re-read a plot description of Boondock Saints to make an educated call on the eligibility of the Saints. I almost took it off the list as soon as you suggested it, but a re-read of the plot made me think twice. This one I'm leaving open for discussion. It seems to me that A) the group sometimes grows to more than 2 people, and B) it's implied that they grow to have a greater purpose of being permanent vigilantes.
Anyone with thoughts, now's the time!

Beast's Staff makes more sense, yeah. As for the tea party, IIRC, only Alice joined and then left them. Otherwise, it's only Mad Hatter, March Hare, and Dormouse, moving around the table for all eternity. At least that's what I recall from the book.
Okay, the Dante Inferno thing makes sense then. And I didn't know about the curse for Tea Time, that would make more sense then.
As for the Saints: A) They have one friend who helps them out for awhile. After he is gone their dad joins them for one kill.
B) it's implied that they grow to have a greater purpose of being permanent vigilantes.
That didn't happen. At all. The movie ends with people talking about them and suggestions that it could happen but the sequel makes it clear that after the events of the movie they leave the country and just live boring lives for years until someone provokes them.
