- Vote from 0-10, use 5 as an average, decimals are okay. - Don't be lame and use alts or anything like that. - Only vote if you've played enough of the respective game to have a good feel for the character. This if of course subjective for the character so you'll have to use your own judgment. But if you played fifteen minutes of the game once, you probably don't know the character well enough. - Nominations are closed until further notice.

Dude gets hated too much. He looks kinda dumb and it's hard to care much either way. But people say he's pointless but I can't really agree-- he's got more point than Vincent, Yuffie, and hell even Barret after the first few hours of the game. Not that having a point makes him good but I don't really know the reasons to really hate him. He's slightly boring, slightly silly, slightly pointless. But that to me doesn't make him a character you hate on.

I tried to have a fierce rivalry with SuperNiceDog, but he made me look worse than a GameFAQs Contest!

Also has more point than Red XIII and Cid!
8/10.
*spoiler warning, though really all these topics should assume spoilers for the character being rated*
Cait Sith is good stuff, never understood the haters here. The mascot character being actually a spy is a neat twist and totally excuses his bizarre joining of your party. I really liked the angle he brought to the cast, highlighting that AVALANCHE's methods weren't as noble as the PCs liked to act.

LeonhartFour posted... I'm assuming we're including Cait Sith's true identity in this rating, so...
Huh. I automatically assumed we weren't. Adding Reeve I'd prolly average him out to about a 6, but I consider them separate entities so I'm not changing my score.

I've come to the realization that I need a sig.

When you've got a pretty-boy monkey on your back constantly calling you a puppet, you hardly want to seem like you're happy to be used. - DSakaCharanJ
By the end, Cait Sith has somewhat redeemed himself from being straight-up terrible, and his true identity is a nice reveal. However, mostly he's a terribly implemented character . First of all, whether through translation or whatever, his introduction is completely botched. He just randomly inserts himself into your party. This happened a lot in early Final Fantasy's, but not in FFVII, so it seems a little strange. Then immediately, the idea of a spy is introduced and for some reason no one suspects the suspicious talking cat. Then you think he sacrifices himself at the Temple of the Ancients, and it's a pretty cool redemptive moment that's immediately negated because another one appears out of nowhere. He's just weird. Terrible in battle too.

Do you think cats are clever? They don't hold a candle to dogs and SuperNiceDog is the cream of the crop since he won the Guru contest without breaking a sweat.
But... they're the same character! You're completely missing the point if you think otherwise. Unless you give loads of points just for looks, or something like that.

A little late but I say each individual rate Cait Sith exactly as you perceive him. If you think Reeve is a part or if you think Reeve is a separate entity, its your own opinion in the portrayal of the character in the end so rate as such.
Not much to say about this guy for me. He is your abnormal/weird party member with some relevance to the story. Nothing great but I remember nothing bad about him either. Though he never found a spot in my party.
