Yeah, everything here except for possibly UC3 is probably pretty bad.

This probably ends up as close to a doubling of UC3, or maybe a little over. That isn't really too impressive, especially since UC3 should be weaker than 2.

Zelda is doing quite a bit better than it did in that poll. Though still not as good as Skyrim's performance.

Well we got 1 from yesterday, 3 from this poll, and 3 from multiplatform. What else would he get games from? Wouldn't that cover everything?

I guess he could do some stuff like Best New IP or Downloadable.

Yeah, iirc it was about 45% on Skyrim to begin the poll, and fell to like 37%. Zelda could still fall under 40% here.

Witcher 2 is critically acclaimed, by the way. This is why Zelda tends to dominate, people dismiss anything else as "bad" (right here in this topic, in fact) without even checking it out. Awesome.

Just checked the poll now, that's an odd choice to streamline the GotY polls.

Voted for Disgaea 4 since it's the only game there I played for a significant amount of time.

Today's poll is also good, because how many console exclusive games are actually worth a damn on this site? In the past, the individual console exclusive polls always had some really bad trash in the polls.

I agree SS is a weak Zelda but it's probbaly what? Wind Waker level. That's still enough to destroy most of these games.


Also about the Hype Polls.......That's based on Hype. Now For me Uncharted 3 was more hyped than Zelda even on this site but of course Zelda having larger fanbase meant more people voted for Zelda.

End Result is that Zelda lived up to Hype because it wasn't that hyped in the first place compred to other Zeldas. Uncharted 3 didn't.

Zelda isn't going to come close to beating Skyrim though.


Also i'm interested to see how Dark Souls does. My personal GOTY and it will be stronger than people think. As far as how strong the games are for GOTY i think it goes

1. Skyrim
2. Zelda
3. Batman
4. Portal 2
5. Dark Souls


After the Gears 3 performance(which i'm disappointed about i voted for Gears 3 my fav exclusive) I think Dark Souls would comfortably beat MW3 and BF3 in a 1v1 poll(fairly confident of that after Hype polls too)

Anyway, Pokémon is missing from that list. I also doubt Batman would be ahead of Portal 2. B/W is probably third, Portal 2 fourth, Batman or Uncharted fifth. Of course, that's discounting OoT, and it's hard to tell how strong other portable games were too due to the mess of SFF.

True, Dark Souls probably isn't that far behind. But beyond that top 4, these games aren't going to be more than middling strength. Possible exception of SM3DL, that's a complete unknown.

To be fair to MvC3, it was sharing the poll with Mortal Kombat, which pulled 12%. On the other hand, it still got 80/20'd by Portal 2.
