RULES 1.) You must pick a team once a week that you think will win. 2.) If your team loses or ties youre out of the league. 3.) You cannot pick the same team more than once. 4.) lolrams 5.) Don't mess with Rule 4 or bad things will happen. 6.) Make your pick before your chosen team plays that week. 7.) Please BOLD your pick. It makes things easier for me. 8.) If you want to change your pick DONT delete your original pick and change it before your original teams game. 9.) If youre using an alt please tell me who you are.
And so the week that I've been scared by, looking ahead, has finally arrived. I'll be honest, I usually have a pretty good intuition how things are going to go. Even when making picks others might look at as questionable, I had a good vibe that I was picking a winner. Frankly, I don't have that feeling about this week -- with any possible option I could take. While I'm not going to be trying to end it here, I wouldn't be surprised if this is indeed where it ends.
My options: Titans over Jaguars Redskins over Vikings Broncos over Bills Raiders or Chiefs Jets over Giants Eagles over Cowboys Bears over Packers
You know I'm getting desperate if the Eagles are on the list, as well as a team with a 4-game losing streak and no QB going against a team that's 13-1 (but nothing really left to play for.)
I may change my mind, and I'm open to suggestions, but if I don't respond further, we'll at least tentatively say Washington. My *original* pick for this week was going to be Buffalo over Denver, but that was back before the two teams completely reversed destinies. I'm not trusting anything in the AFC West right now, or else I might go Raiders. That pretty well just leaves the Titans...who just helped the Colts not go winless, and embarrassed their shot at the postseason.
Oddsmakers put the Titans and Redskins at (roughly) 7 point favorites. Nothing else available comes close to that. I'm still toying with the notion of going back to my original pick, but taking Denver over Buffalo rather than the other way around.
Too bad you already used the Panthers, I think they would be a really good pick here, and most people would still have them available. Since you can't do that, I think you have to go with the Titans. Would not touch the Redskins here. A distant second would be the Jets, but there's no argument to pick them over the Titans, really.

My rivalry with SuperNiceDog turned out a bit one-sided.
I think I'd go with the Redskins if I were you. Don't really trust them much, but I don't trust the Titans either, especially in a divisional game. Broncos are worth considering, too. I wouldn't take any of the other ones you listed; in fact, I would consider Chiefs > Raiders as opposed to Raiders > Chiefs, but both are pretty sketchy, I can't recommend putting this all on the line with the Chiefs.

Yeah, I had some interesting picks early in the season. Arizona in week 1, who went on to lose like the next 5 games. I snuck Carolina in there, against Washington no less. Believe me, I don't trust Washington, but I'm extremely leery of taking the Titans. The only thing that makes me feel *slightly* better about that is the Colts victory this week proves it isn't just a loltitans deal.
If I hadn't already made the pick, I might be persuaded to take the Titans instead of the Redskins. Yes, the Titans are a better team, but the Redskins aren't really terrible so much as they are inconsistent. And their opponent is terrible. Both teams are going against a team that has won three fewer, but I'd rather take a 5-win over a 2-win than a 7-win onver a 4-win. Plus, one of those four wins was against Tennessee earlier in the season.
And no, I wasn't seriously considering any of the other matches (besides Denver.) Chicago beating Green Bay is fairly laughable, even with GB no longer chasing perfection. Although, honestly, part of me is sorely tempted to take the Eagles this week just because I want to see it happen....maybe I should take the Cowboys instead so I can take something away from the game either way.
Anyway, I'm not going to overthink it. If the Titans win and the Redskins lose, sucks to be me.
Indeed, and not looking good. I could blame the Redskins or the Vikings, but I have a completely different target to blame.
DAMN YOU, BUFFALO! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO SUCK THE LAST SEVEN WEEKS?
Seriously, back when I planned it out, Buffalo was my pick this week, and they're absolutely *rolling* the Broncos. But the way each team has been playing the last six weeks, would anyone have been willing to take the Bills?
And it's over. I made the wrong choice. But it was a good run, and I thank you all for actually tracking the path of one remaining contestant for the last six weeks.

Injuries.
The Bills, if they had their full roster, would still be dominating the league.

From: KCF0107 | #016 Congrats for making it this far. I would have chosen the Redskins in this week too, assuming that I didn't pick them earlier. I forget if I did or not
You did not
