Kurt Angle is now a teenage heartthrob. Edge & Christian are heels so they aren't entering through the crowd. They've formed a jug band, gotta take shots at Kentucky.

Kurt Angle, Edge & Christian vs. Rikishi & Too Cool

All three heels are stuck in the corner already taking butt splashes. Angle books it out before Rikishi runs at him though.

Grandmaster with an enzuigiri, Scotty must be high or something. And here comes Scotty to work some armlock battles with Christian. Suplex, and the crowd is popping for everything Too Cool does.

Such a great show overall, but MAN I really hated Undertaker at the time for basically no-selling WRENCH SHOTS TO THE KNEECAP.

Only two title changes before Summerslam, and they both happened on the final Raw before the PPV. Shane McMahon captured the Hardcore Title from Steve Blackman, and in the main event of Raw, Lita finally captured the Women's Championship away from Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley, with The Rock as special guest ref.

Which means that yes, for a few brief moments both Shane and Stephanie held titles at the same time. <_<

WWF Champion: The Rock
Tag Team: Edge & Christian
Intercontinental: Val Venis
European: Perry Saturn
Hardcore: Shane McMahon
Light Heavyweight: Dean Malenko

Couldn't believe I thought the cage match was the #4 match on the card. I got it above Taker/Angle and Eddie's bout and Edge and Christians title defense, those weren't so hot.

WCW dying.

Indeed it is!

Fully Loaded vs. Bash at the Beach
Fully Loaded's card wasn't the greatest, but it got the job done. We saw Rock/Benoit and HHH/Jericho steal the entire show, while the rest of the card waned a bit. Taker no-sold wrench-shots to squash Angle, Edge and Christian had one of their lesser quality tag team matches, and Tazz goes from beating Kurt Angle at the beginning of the year (twice) to a return squash match with Al Snow. On the plus side, Saturn finally got some kind of gold to hang onto for more than 10 seconds.

So leave it up to WCW to make a show that makes Fully Loaded look like WrestleMania by comparison. We did get a good Cruiserweight match between Chavo and Juvi, and the real main event was good, but the rest? Not so much. We saw KroniK (formerly known in WWF as Crush and Adam Bomb) beat Shawn Stasiak and Chuck Palumbo to win the tag titles, Big Vito retaining the hardcore title against Norman Smiley and Ralphus, Ms. Hancock beating Daffney in a wedding dress match when Hancock removed her dress on purpose, Scott Steiner being stripped of the US title after using the illegal Steiner Recliner, and Kanyon beating Booker T with help from Jeff Jarrett. We then later saw Scott Steiner return and go heel on us again, helping a heel Goldberg beat Kevin Nash with Scott Hall's contract on the line. Wait a minute, when was the last time Scott Hall stayed in WCW for longer than a month?

Then the hilariously bad happens; the barely-visible graveyard match between Vampiro and the KISS Demon was trying its best to be worse than the Vampiro/Sting human torch match. This was followed up with Hulk Hogan and Jeff Jarrett for the WCW world title, where not only did Hogan use the nWo theme, but Vince Russo had Jarrett lie down for Hogan. Then Russo comes out later and cuts a fake-shoot promo on Hogan, claiming that he's tired of people like Hogan holding back people like Jarrett, Booker, etc. and fires him in the process.

At the time, the promo was thought to be real, but Eric Bischoff revealed years later that Hogan was supposed to return a few months later and win a Champion vs. Champion match to unify the belts. What stopped it? Hogan threw a fit and threatened to sue when Russo called him bald. But anyway, with no Hogan, Vince Russo makes BatB's main event between Jeff Jarrett and Booker T for the WCW title, and to end a pretty damn awful show on a good note, Booker T wins his first world championship.

WWF leads 7-0

King of the Ring 2000

Lots of signs in Boston. Ha, someone brought an XFL sign.

Nothing like that hip hop music to kick things off.

Rikishi vs. Chris Benoit

Benoit comes out slugging, but Rikishi just knocks him down. Benoit goes right into the stairs.

Now Benoit wants to try a suplex, he's never gonna get Rikishi. OH wait, he does, he german suplexes the big guy. Benoit with some chops now, WOOOOOO.

Crippler crossface already on, but Rikishi's right by the ropes and he grabs it. Benoit snaps and grabs a chair to beat up Rikishi. He's DQed, but he gets in a few more shots. And another crossface.

Linda wanted to confront Vince earlier. She can rile him up.

Time for Mamacita and Latino Heat.

And Val's thing is weirdly upbeat now, almost like they mixed his music with Al Snow's. Val is also with Trish Stratus now.

Eddie Guerrero vs. Val Venis

Val's the bigger guy, but he's whipped to the corner and dropkicked down. Val's trying some chops and both guys tumble outside. Guerrero with his own chops. WOOO.

Suplex from the top by Guerrero. Now he gets the ab stretcher on, and he wisely doesn't roll far enough to put his shoulders down.

The crowd wants puppies in this match. Lawler's excited for an upcoming evening gown match.

Powerbomb countered into a hurricanrana by Guerrero. Suplex and he goes up for frog splash. Val rolls away and then hits a spinebuster. He wants the moneyshot and falls onto knees.

Val almost gets a cover with his feet on the ropes, Tim White needs to pay more attention. Hurricanrana from the top and Trish distracts the ref. Chyna attacks Trish.

Val and Chyna are fighting now, Guerrero with a rollup and Val kicks out. Val with a fisherman suplex and somehow gets a win here.

Pat Patterson is trying on dresses, oh god.

Crash vs. Bull Buchanan

Bull keeps tossing Crash out of the ring and Crash keeps running back in. Bull Buchanan seems to be the most generic character in matches these days, how does he keep ending up on every PPV event?

After a suplex, they go outside the ring. Bull with some punches, then they roll back in for some reason.

JR's still going on about Crash/Elroy Jetson? Crash with a surprise inside cradle, two count. Crash's face hits the mat, but he rolls away from the scissor kick. Crash with a pin and he runs backstage before the cameras can even focus on him.

Vince wants to confront his wife about all the face moves he does. Marital issues.

Kurt Angle's cheers get louder every time. He still talks like a heel and gets some boos. He talks about how Boston sports teams never win. And I bet they never will.

Jericho has a mic to talk back to Kirk Angel, king of the nerds.

Kurt Angle vs. Chris Jericho

Y2J Y2J chants. Angle with a belly to belly suplex. Jericho dives with an elbow and then some chops. WOOOO. Jericho goes out of the ring, but he's back in with a missile dropkick. Asai lionsault, but Angle gets his foot on the ropes during the cover.

Jericho hits his springboard dropkick and chases Angle outside. Jericho ends up into some stairs, but Angle is still sore from the chops earlier.

"ANGLE SUCKS!" is the chant, so much for his loud cheers.

Jericho slides under and hits a double underhook backbreaker. Angle grabs the ropes during a cover again. He catapults Jericho into the corner and a two count.

Almost a pin for Angle on the bridged suplex. Teddy Long is the loudest ref and Jericho with more chops. But he runs into a boot. Angle on the corner, and he's dropkicked. Hurricanrana from the top corner!

Angle's chest is gonna be sore in the morning, here's more chops. Jericho counters a move into a heel kick, now Angle counters a running DDT into a clothesline.

Olympic slam time, Jericho rolls free and wants the walls of Jericho. Here's Stephanie McMahon? She's distracting and Angle is tapping out but the ref doesn't hear it. Ref bump and Stephanie swings the belt. She misses and somehow Angle is knocked out?

Jericho grabs Stephanie and... he's making out with her. HHH won't be happy. Oh, but here's an olympic slam, Angle moves on.

Shane and Vince aren't worried about themselves, HHH must be the problem. Too many vignettes with these guys.

Foley wants Kurt Angle to win KotR.

Christian reminds Boston that Larry Bird and Bobby Orr used to be good. They want to recreate the 86 World Series.

Oh hey Lita's with the Hardys now.

Now that Scotty's champ, he's spitting water. Suck it, HHH.

Four team elimination tag match: Edge & Christian vs. T & A vs. Hardy Boyz vs. Too Cool

Albert can pick up Jeff Hardy no problem. Jeff can land on his feet though. Blind tag to Matt.

Trish gets a distraction and now Albert's getting punches in. Here's Test. Matt takes a swing at Trish and misses. Lita runs over and she doesn't miss. Test and Albert are woman abusers with her. Jeff jumps in with a senton and Matt pins Test.

Scotty's in and this hat is staying on awfully long. A nip up and oh there goes the hat. Moonwalk to get Christian in.

Matt with a legdrop, now him and Jeff double team springboard jump Christian. Shirts off as Edge is in.

Hardys fighting with these Canadians an awful lot and the ref has no control. Lita jumps from the top dorner and hits Edge with a hurricanrana!

Another twist of fate from Matt, Edge pulls Jeff's hair. Somehow Christian ends up with a pin here.

Oh yeah Too Cool's still in this. Grandmaster with hitting a dropkick and now he and Scotty are dancing a ton. They grab Christian's arm and make him join in. Oh but wait here's Edge with serious wrestling to knock them down.

Christian wants to mock Too Cool but it backfires. He hits a legsweep.

Both guys down, Scotty has the most ridiculous face as he crawls for a tag. Edge is tied in the ropes so Grandmaster gets to dance. Edge gets slingshot into Christian. Both of them end up in the corner. and a power bomb. Grandmaster finally takes off his hat.

Oh no Grandmaster is down, Edge Christian want to do a worm. Scotty hits them from behind, crowd is going nuts. Christian fails at using the belt as interference. Leg drop but the ref is distracted. Belt used this time, Edge with the pin.

Scotty's face muscles are fantastic.

Rikishi vs. Val Venis

Early superkick from Rikishi. They go outside, Rikishi runs into the barricades and it moves a bit.

Big legdrop, now Rikishi runs his rear into Val. Now Val gets some time to go after Rikishi's shoulder and arm. Shoulder into the ringpost.

Val climbs to the top and Rikishi is up. "WHAT THE" Rikishi with a belly to belly suplex and wins.

"Trish Stratus mounted Rikishi" Oh no here comes a banzai drop on her face. Val saves her. Stairs and a chair to beat up Rikishi. How is this man still alive.

Brisco trying to defend his manhood before dressing as a woman. Please no crotchless underwear.

Crash vs. Kurt Angle

Crash trying his best to go for quick covers. Powerslam and I think his third two count already.

Here's a suplex from Angle and now he's in control. Crash with some punches and a back body drop. How long can Crash's Cinderella story continue?

Missile dropkick almost has Angle down. But Angle with an olympic slam and he's in the finals.

Donald Trump loves the WWF and The Rock.

Patterson is holding his first belt in what, 20 years?

Man they are using this Real American theme a bunch now. Now that they're back on top in rating they can bust this classic out again.

Evening Gown hardcore match: Gerald Brisco vs. Pat Patterson

Patterson hits a low blow. He tries to peel a banana and can't do it. Oh god Patterson pulls a pad out of his underwear.

Brisco with a low blow and there's a lot of boos and "boring" chants. Nobody really wants to see two guys who are probably 60 years old do bronco busters.

Thank god here's Crash. Trash can to Patterson's head and Crash wins his belt back.

Tori needs to go through a table. God dammit Sean Waltman why are you still getting these pushes.

Handicap Table and Dumpster match: D-Generation X & Tori vs. Dudley Boyz

Road Dogg tries to be a little cocky and eats a kick and a clothesline. Somehow D-Von ends up caught in the D-X corner and he's getting triple teamed. "X-Pac sucks! X-Pac sucks!"

Bubba back in with a full nelson atomic drop. Now he slams X-Pac and Road Dogg. They both take shots in the groin. Now Tori does too.

D-X is running into each other in the aisles now. Dudleys both get run into the dumpster. The Dudleys are in the dumpster, the lid shuts, everyone boos. The ref's distracted though, the Dudleys escape the dumpster and crawl under the ring.

Here they appear and chair shots to D-X. TABLES. Time for some complicated setup. Table on a table. Stairs in the ring.

Road Dogg dropped through two tables at once! He's dead.

X-Pac kicks his way to freedom and tries to setup a table. Bubba stops him, suplex through a table. I think D-Von got the worst of that.

Tori runs and hides in the dumpster. Of course D-X is here with chairs and they knock the Dudleys in the dumpster and win. Nobody cares about D-X anymore.

Oh wait the Dudleys have Tori and X-Pac waves his arms like a girl. 3D on him, another on Road Dogg. Here's the Tori Table. Tori through a table, Dudleys get a moral victory but D-X keeps winning the matches.

Kurt Angle vs. Rikishi

Angle wants to slam Rikishi but he's clearly too heavy.

A couple hits and Angle's already down in the corner. Almost a butt to the face.

JR and Lawler discussing past winners. Bret, Owen, Austin, HHH, Ken Shamrock, Billy Gunn. Wait, they've made zero mention of King Mabel this whole PPV. Wonder why that could be.

Rikishi almost injures his arm whipping Angle but still hits a samoan drop. Running neckbreaker and a lazy cover. Here's the stinkerface. Surprise Olympic slam but Rikishi kicks out.

Sunset flip turns into a sit down and Angle is almost done.

Angle wants a belly to belly suplex from the top, he'll never get that. Wait, he does! He hooks the leg and Kurt Angle is 2000 King of the Ring!

Oh he's not actually crowned until the following night on Raw.

Oh hey another Vince segment. Oh, and here's Kane, remember him, he's in the match. Team Vince actually has opponents!

Is WWF the national pasttime now? Find out at your local newsstand!

Man this new Undertaker theme is the worst. Gotta walk that motorcycle all the way around the ring.

Vince, Shane & HHH vs. Kane, Undertaker & The Rock

Kane's so confident, he's gonna give Shane a free punch. Shane tries to run and Undertaker throws him back in.

Military presses from Kane, Vince runs in and he wants to chokeslam them both. HHH stops it. Rock tags himself in. HHH and Shane with a cheap shot and Shane getting punches in. Rock says no and tosses him.

Undertaker tags himself in to go after Shane. "HELLO MR. TURNBUCKLE" Chokeslam and a cover, Rock breaks it up.

HHH in with Undertaker and HHH is getting beat up. Boot to the face, DDT.

Shane's tagged in somehow and Rock's punching everybody. Oh but now he's outside and getting triple teamed. Kane and Undertaker here, things are out of control.

Rock clears off a table, but he ends up back in the ring with HHH. Pedigree but Rock kicks out, crowd doesn't even care. Undertaker grabs HHH and throws him into the post, but Rock won't tag out. Shane with some punches and Vince is tagged in.

Vince punches Rock down and here's HHH with a knee drop. Kane saves Rock from a cover.

Low blow from Vince and HHH comes right back in. Rock with smoe punches and a samoan drop. Kane and Undertaker going after the McMahons.

Kane takes out Undertaker and Rock hits a spinebuster for the elbow. But Kane jumps in and chokeslams Rock. Kane and HHH give each other thumbs up, but then Kane with a tombstone on HHH.

Taker won't let Kane win, these two are fighting. Chair to Kane's head. Taker grabs Shane and chokeslams him through a table!

Vince is alone with Rock, Vince wants to do a people's elbow. He's running and Rock's up. Rock bottom! Rock with a three count and he's the champ again.

There are so many sub-eras in those two years that it's hard to judge.

Russo 1 era (late 1999) > Johnny Ace era (late 2000) > Russo 2 era (mid 2000) > Kevin Nash era (early/mid 1999) >>>> Kevin Sullivan era (early 2000)

Johnny Ace era would trump all those if we got to include 2001 WCW though.

Yeah that's actually about how I'd put it (to clarify, I don't count late 1999 Russo as the defining part of 1999 because it was only like 3 months of it). Though I'd put the Kevin Nash Era last down with the Kevin Sullivan stuff.

Kevin Nash era also had absurd things like "pushing Jerry Flynn and Lash Leroux" and "West Texas Rednecks and No Limit Soldiers" which in my opinion are sub KISS DEMON just because they weren't presented as ridiculously.

WCW's answer to SummerSlam was the one-time only New Blood Rising, replacing the traditional August ppv Road Wild. The ppv is actually not too bad and had some decent matchups.

The Good: Booker T vs. Jeff Jarrett for the world title, a ladder match between 3 Count and the Jung Dragons, the 4-way tag title match featuring lots of young talented stars (and Hugh Morrus and KroniK >_>), and a good strap match between Kidman and Shane Douglas (well, good enough, at least). Also, Goldberg turned face again after walking out on a triple-threat match with Kevin Nash and Scott Steiner.

The Meh: Kevin Nash winning said triple-threat match after Goldberg walked out (which a few weeks later, would turn Nash heel), Ernest Miller beating The Great Muta, and later Vampiro and The Great Muta winning the tag titles from a worn-out KroniK.

The Bad
- Sting squashing the KISS Demon in less than a minute. Not because the KISS Demon's a good wrestler or anything (because he isn't), but because Sting had to be lowered to this kind of match on ppv
- Major Gunns vs. Ms. Hancock in a "Mud Rip Off the Clothes Match". Really WCW? I mean yeah, both of them are hot, but couldn't you just call this a Mud Strip Match?
- Lance Storm vs. Mike Awesome for the US title. Don't get me wrong, I love Storm, but they went the wrong way with this match. Awesome had the match won, but Jacques Rogeau first said that in Canada, Storm gets a 5-count instead of 3. Then Awesome makes Storm tap out, but Canadian rules say no submissions. Then Awesome gets a 5-count win, but Canadian rules say Storm gets 10 seconds to get up in order to continue the match. Storm gets up and KO's Awesome to retain the title. Since the match was in Canada and Storm was a heel getting cheered like a face, wouldn't the logical thing to do is have him win clean?
- And of course, nothing says awfulness like Buff Bagwell vs. Kanyon in a "Judy Bagwell on a Forklift Match". I wish I were making that up.

Thankfully, most of the meh/bad matches don't even hit 10 minutes, so I think it ends on a decent note. However, SummerSlam 2000 is basically the best ppv the WWF released that year, so I'll just go ahead and say WWF leads 8-0 after August.

I think they botched the hell out of that KotR 2000 booking. Jericho/Angle should have been the main event, and let Val Venis go over Eddie Gurrero? I'm still not quite sure where this 2000 Rikishi push came from. Yeah, he's waaaay over with the fans, but his most memorable mic time was "I DID IT...FOR THE ROCK! I DID IT...FOR THE PEOPLE!" and in-ring work left quite a bit to be desired for a main event guy.

Fully Loaded 2000

Oh boy, an intergender tag match kicks things off.

Apparently Trish put Lita through a table recently.

T&A & Trish Stratus vs. Hardy Boyz & Lita

Matt and Albert start. Albert keeps trying to pick up Matt and Matt's breaking free. Now Albert gets in a good toss.

Walking the rope is Matt, he takes down Albert but ends up outside. Test comes in to suffer a legdrop.

Jeff with a smooth flip legdrop, but then he's in a sidewalk slam. Flying crossbody over the top rope.

Trish is in with a slap, Matt ducks and she hits Test, whoops. Now she misses an elbow. Lita in and Trish runs. Albert's chasing Lita now.

Everyone in the ring, double team springboard splash. Hardys and Lita triple suplex Trish and Test, shirts come off.

Double underhook suplex and Jeff is dying in there. He hits a surprise rollup, two count.

Power bomb on Jeff, now Test goes to the top. Elbow drop misses and Matt is in. Test with a pump handle slam into a power bomb. Jeff and Albert run in.

Lita's in with a tornado DDT on Test. Now she splashes on Albert, and back up again. Jumping hurricanrana.

Albert with a shot in the back and Test power bombs her. Trish is in again and tries to cover, two count. Bulldog and another two count.

Lita gets Trish on the top corner, suplex from the top. Albert makes sure this keeps going.

Hardys holding people down, Lita with a moonsault and she pins Trish. Albert is angry. Matt and Jeff take boots to the face and Lita's whipped with a belt.

Oh no, Christian has food poisoning.

Undertaker is chasing reigning King of the Ring Kurt Angle.

Tazz attacks people at random. Looks like mostly Too Cool members.

WHAT DOES EVERYBODY WANT!

Tazz vs. Al Snow

Snow punches Tazz a bunch, kick and a side russian leg sweep.

Tazz is trying for a suplex, Snow slides free and a superkick. But Tazz catches him finally and drops Snow.

Clothesline and scoop slam from Snow, he goes up top and a leg drop! He goes up again and a moonsault, Tazz kicks out.

Just as some boring chants are starting, Snow reaches for head and they cheer.

Tazz gets a drop toe hold and some punches. Snow with headbutts and his kick is caught. Suplex time, and Snow avoids a Tazzmission. He gets caught this time and can't get out, he taps out.

The doctor looks at Christian's eyes for five seconds and says he's not healthy enough. "But we're the fightingest champions of all time"

Stephanie is getting random flowers from someone. Must be Jericho. Oh, there's a card from Kurt Angle. Also Stephanie sucks at acting.

Eddie Guerrero vs. Perry Saturn

Chyna knocks down Saturn so she can chase after Terri. Saturn hits back Chyna so Terri can flee.

Oh here's the "European Championship" graphic a full minute into the match. Whoops.

Guerrero's already hitting hurricanranas from the top rope.

Saturn gets out of the ring and Chyna runs him into the stairs. Guerrero with a splash from the top. He likes the ladies. Now he jumps in the ring with another hurricanrana. Power bomb from Saturn gets both guys down.

Guerrero's fighting back, tornado DDT. Saturn's bleeding from the top of his head. Now he's trying some power moves, another hurricanrana from Guerrero.

Suplex reversed into a rollup, nice move, now Guerrero's caught and power bombed again. Saturn tries a moonsault and misses. Guerrero hits the brainbuster.

Guerrero misses a senton bomb and what on earth is he trying. He almost gets pinned. Saturn goes up top and gets dropkicked off. Now he's attacking Chyna and Terri runs back out. She kicks Guerrero between the legs.

Flying elbow drop from Saturn and he somehow wins. This guy seems like the most boring of the Radicalz so far, his large muscle mass is mostly what he's got going.

Oh wait Christian was faking all along. Oh no they have to fight the Acolytes later.

Angle steals Undertakers motorcycle. Or he would but he can't drive it.

Dallas Stars can't win multiple championships, they're awful. Oh, no time for a pose, here's APA. Bradshaw tells off these guys and their cheap heat, he's a Texan and proud. Time to namedrop the Freebirds and Von Erichs.

Edge & Christian vs. Acolytes

Faarooq grabs some stairs and is beating away right away. Luckily he's not DQed.

Christian tries a springboard crossbody and he's caught. Fallaway slam from the 2nd rope.

Here comes a powerbomb and Edge keeps flopping before he can go up. Third try and Bradshaw hits it. Christian cheats when the ref is distracted.

"USA! USA!" chants. Take that, Canada.

Bradshaw is stuck in the wrong corner as the champs keep tagging. He pushes both guys off and gets Faarooq in. Spinebuster, here's Bradshaw with a clothesline and Christian sells it so hard.

Faarooq hits Christian with the dominator and Edge uses the tag belt as a weapon to get DQed. All four guys fight as they leave.

Big Bossman is checking IDs at a bar.

Angle attacks Undertaker with a wrench.

Oh god will I really have to watch Rikishi try to climb a cage. Why is Val's hair so short.

Steel Cage match: Rikishi vs. Val Venis

Rikishi's already trying to climb out and he's moving so slow. Val wants to go out the door so Rikishi stops climbing. Oh, now Rikishi wants the door and he's stopped.

A couple hard shots and Val is down in the corner. He hits a low blow to stop the stinkface. Big clothesline and somehow Rikishi spins way around on his way down.

Val apparently sucks at climbing too. So he walks the rope to drop an elbow.

Now Val gets caught on top of the cage and Rikishi pulls him back in. Lawler says if Val were to drop from all the way up, he'd end up in a hospital. Val's no Daniel Bryan.

The door's open, wait now it's not. Val's face is bleeding and he rolls 15 feet to end up in the corner to take a butt splash. Now Val does a Flair flop or something.

Banzai and Val's foot on the rope saves him. Rikishi goes for the door and Trish shuts it. Money shot and Rikishi kicks out.

Lita runs out for some reason, she beats up Trish with a belt. Wonder what's going on in the match, haven't seen it in a minute. Oh, val is climbing out.

Val gets caught and thrown down again, he falls on the ref. Rikishi's on the top, he's not gonna jump, is he? Oh my god he splashes down from the top of the cage and he's hurt his knee in the process whoops. But holy crap he actually did it.

Tazz is at ringside, he opens the door and hits Rikishi with a TV camera. There were no refs to see it. Val reaches and gets a cover. Poor Rikishi does his most daring spot and takes a loss in the process.

HHH wants to find Kurt Angle, but runs into Jericho and gets his butt kicked.

Shane is here to call out the great one. Wayne Gretzky? Wait, here comes The Rock. They're wearing matching shirts.

Shane is a cat in slightly different words. This isn't PG! Rock expects Benoit to be under the ring. Oh, he's in Rock's locker room and destroying his things.

Here's a recap of Kurt Angle and Undertaker feuding. Angle just screwed up, but Undertaker is so badass he wants revenge anyway.

Kurt Angle comes out with that novelty sized wrench. Undertaker doesn't even wait for his own music.

Kurt Angle vs. Undertaker

They go straight into the crowd. Taker is killing Angle.

Into the ring, big boot, and Taker's got a cover. But he lifts up, he wants damage. Long suplex.

Another two count and Taker lifts up again. Whoops they catch Taker mouthing an f word.

Angle tries a sleeper but that won't work. Now he's getting crushed in the corner, sidewalk slam.

Taker is mad, he pushes the ref away. Angle grabs that wrench and htis Taker's knee.

Time for some knee holds by Angle. "ANGLE SUCKS" says the crowd. Oh no, chokeslam coming and Angle kicks free. Leglock and some elbow drops to the knee.

Undertaker finally rolls free of the holds. Here's the chokeslam, what a badass. Now he wants to hit "the last ride", oh it's a power bomb. Taker wins.

HHH really wants Jericho's ass. Maybe he's not happy with Stephanie's. HHH lost to the Brooklyn Brawler. Y2J!

Last Man Standing: HHH vs. Chris Jericho

Jericho is all bandaged up still. Some kicks and a clothesline and another kick sends HHH out of the ring. Springboard dropkick time.

Flying clothesline from Jericho, he's got all the momentum. Oh, HHH with a knee.

Back outside the ring and Jericho is thrown into the barricade and the stairs. Now HHH is removing the bandages on Jericho. Tons of shoulders to the ribs.

Suplex onto the concrete and HHH is ready to celebrate. They both head back into the ring though. Ab stretcher here. HHH is grabbing the ropes and somehow Jericho gets a hip toss. HHH pushes the ref.

Lionsault time, but he lands on knees. Sleeper hold now, this can get someone down. Jericho's arms are down, will he get up? 9 count and Jericho's up.

Here's a crotch chop and it angers HHH. Pedigree time.

HHH with a chair and he hits Jericho in the back. He wants a pedigree on the chair but a low blow hits.

Chair shot to the head of HHH. Oh holy crap his face is bleeding everywhere.

Jericho taking it to HHH now. Dropkick and running DDT onto the chair.

Outside the ring again. Jericho ends up into the stairs. HHH wants a pedigree on the stairs but he's flipped away. Jericho and HHH both grab monitors and hit each other down. Oh god this is gonna end in a draw.

Oh wait both guys manage to get up in time. Walls of Jericho! HHH wants to submit but that doesn't matter. HHH gets the ropes, but what does that matter.

Stephanie runs in to stop it, she's in the walls of Jericho! HHH stops this and grabs a sledgehammer. HHH misses, Jericho gets it, hammer to HHH's gut.

HHH suplexes Jericho, they both go through the announce table.

Somehow HHH stands up at 9, count hits 10 and HHH falls down again. He barely wins.

Benoit says his actions speak louder than words. I would hope so, his words aren't usually very effective. Oh god he puts Hebner in a crossface.

Belt can change hands on a DQ in this match. Where was this stip for APA.

Chris Benoit vs. The Rock

Rock wants to chase around Shane, he clotheslines Benoit along the way. Benoit gets slingshot into Shane and Rock wants to put on a crippler crossface.

Benoit gonna get to work with his technical moves. Here's a gutbuster, now Rock's thrown into the stairs.

Rock throws Benoit on the ropes and kicks him, Benoit wants to hit a moonsault or something and gets knocked down. Suplex and both guys are down for a bit.

Shane gives Benoit the belt, he hits Rock in the face with it and Hebner had looked away. Rock still kicks out. Here's a counter power slam and Benoit reverses out of a DDT and hits a suplex. Sharpshooter on Rock now!

A long reach and Rock gets the ropes. Benoit wants another sharpshooter but can't get it.

They're out of the ring, Rock throws Benoit into the stairs. He picks him up now and runs him into the ring post. Better not get himself DQed! Rock puts on a figure four leg lock! A grap of the ropes breaks this hold.

Shane gets in a clothesline on Rock and it's time for some crowd surfing. They don't get too far into the crowd. Benoit is using the barricade to hurt Rock.

Rock doesn't care about technical wrestling, DDT and a two count. Benoit's doing damage again though. Backbreaker, and Shane gets some more interference.

Now Rock's fighting back. He wants a powerbomb but falls back, and Benoit falls onto the ropes.

Flying headbutt from the top, but Benoit hurts himself too. Rock can't get a cover here.

Spinebuster in the middle, Rock wants an elbow. People's elbow! He covers and Shane has Hebner tied up! Finally a count and Benoit kicks out.

Both guys trading clotheslines now, and Benoit grabs a chair. Rock grabs the chair, Shane runs in and hits Hebner with a chair. Rock chases out Shane, now he puts the Crippler crossface on Benoit. Benoit taps out to his own move!

Oh wait, it's not a submission, Rock got DQed for using a chair, he was framed by Shane. Benoit is the new champ already. Shane hits Rock with a chair for the heck of it.

Mick Foley comes out to get some truth out here. He says the match must go on. Rock's face is bloody from the chair shot earlier.

Rock with some shots, but Benoit hits three suplexes and a bridge. There's garbage in the ring from the earlier decision.

Crossface crippler, but Rock can reach the ropes. Now he gets it on in the middle of the ring. Rock crawls and reaches, he finally gets the rope.

Rock fights back, hits a rock bottom, he gets the pin and keeps his belt.

You could argue Rock, Jericho, HHH, or Rikishi for the star here, lots of good performances in this PPV.

Star of the PPV: Chris Jericho

With all the talk about WCW's comparable product, here's what ECW was cranking out at the time:

Heat Wave 2000
* Sal E. Graziano (with Tony Mamaluke) defeated Balls Mahoney (1:39)
o Graziano pinned Mahoney after a Belly to Belly Suplex.
* Kid Kash, Danny Doring and Amish Roadkill defeated Simon Diamond, C.W. Anderson and Johnny Swinger (11:03)
o Kash pinned Swinger after a Money Maker.
* Jerry Lynn defeated Steve Corino (with Jack Victory) (15:25)
o Lynn pinned Corino after a Cradle Piledriver.
* Chris Chetti and Super Nova defeated Da Baldies (Tony DeVito and Angel) (4:39)
o Nova pinned Angel after a Tidal Wave.
* Yoshihiro Tajiri defeated Mikey Whipwreck, Little Guido and Psicosis in a Four-Way Dance (9:17)
o Guido pinned Whipwreck with a Bridging German Suplex (1:36)
o Tajiri pinned Psicosis after a Dragon Suplex (4:28)
o Tajiri pinned Guido after a Brainbuster onto a steel chair (9:17)
* Rhino defeated The Sandman to retain the ECW World Television Championship (8:39)
o Rhino pinned Sandman after a Piledriver onto a steel guardrail.
* Rob Van Dam (with Bill Alfonso) defeated Scotty Anton (19:02)
o Van Dam pinned Anton after a Van Terminator.
* Justin Credible (with Francine) defeated Tommy Dreamer (with Jazz and George) in a Stairway to Hell match to retain the ECW World Heavyweight Championship (14:58)
o Credible pinned Dreamer after a That's Incredible! onto barbed wire.

I had personally given up on following ECW regularly after their May PPV, because I disliked their product that much. I bought their next PPV (this one) two months later just to see if things had gotten any better or if this PPV was the launching pad for anything better. It wasn't. The rest of ECW's existence after this PPV until it dies in January is actually completely foreign to me, besides knowing about title changes.

The only time I've EVER abandoned a wrestling company. Good work, Justin Credible!

Summerslam 2000

Man, they really like those types of intros where the old watches the new. From what I can gather this is will involve Triple H, The Rock, Kurt Angle and Stephanie.

Well, we'll be opening the night with a six man tag team match and Right to Censor have just come out. Their leader is a very clean cut Stevie Richards.

Right to Censor Vs. Rikishi and Too Cool

Everyone's out there brawling now, Bull and Scotty are the first two and Scotty's dancing around Bull but the big guy's got some skills. Crossbody by scotty and he tags Sexay in.

Double team and there's a moonwalk. Missed kick from the Godfather and the Hos are slapping Godfather, but he retaliates. Big chant for the hos. Boot to the face of Sexay. RTC with a little double team on Sexay.

In comes Richards and he's going for the powerbomb, kickout and there's another bodyslam. Up top he goes but Grandmaster gets in his way and there's a superplex. Hot tag incoming, to the worm or the stinkface? Stinkface master it is.

Rikishi is cleaning house with all three men. All three men are lined up and Scotty's launched at them and so's Grandmaster and there comes Rikishi! Samoan drop on the Goodfather. Worm incoming on Bull but what a shot from Steven and they steal it.

Triple isn't here yet, Kurt had a little chat with coach. I have no idea who's the good guy in this battle. Shane's with Michael Cole, he's the hardcore champion.

OH YOU DIDN'T KNOW!

Road Dogg has been fighting his stablemate X-Pac.

Road Dogg Vs. X-Pac

Quick lockup and there's some early taunting. X-PAC SUCKS! X-PAC SUCKS! X-PAC SUCKS!

X-Pac's leg is caught and he's knocked down. Missed Bronco Buster and X-Pac applies the sleeper hold. X-Pac sucks chants are still loud and clear.

Spinning heel kick from X-Pac gives us a nearfall. Well this Bronco buster connects, JR is trying to tell us this crowd's mixed. Road Dogg's left jabs are coming in.

Down goes X-Pac and there's the shake rattle and kneedrop. X-Pac goes down again and the pump handle slam is countered by a low blow, X-Factor and there's a win for X-Pac.

Someone has an X-Pac rules sign, oh no X-Pac is on the mic, thank god Road Dogg gave him the pump handle slam.

Eddie and Chyna are backstage, Trish and Val Venis are also backstage, Trish and Chyna are more concerned about who's hotter...Trish no question.

WWF INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE MATCH:

Eddie Guerrero and Chyna Vs. Val Venis (c) and Trish Stratus

Yeah, this is one of those you can pin anyone for the title matches. Eddie and Val kick things off. No longer Val is worried and Eddie's got the quick kicks. Suplex from Eddie and there's a kickout.

Val tries the powerbomb, Eddie thinking hurricanerana, neither happens. Val with a kneedrop and a backbreaker. Chyna comes in with a knockdown. Flapjack and Chyna went for the cover. Hard whip to the corner and there's a kick. Elbow from Chyna and Val goes downstairs.

Chyna with a clothesline and she starts attacking Trish, Val comes in from behind and Eddie is kept away by the referee. Crowd is rooting for Chyna and the vertical suplex from Val is followed by a cover. Val misses a flying elbow, but he recovers in time to keep her away from a tag.

Low Blow, he survives and uses a backdrop, Chyna tags out. Eddie with a hurricanerana and Guerrero gets dropped on the turnbuckle. Val with some momentum and there's a flying crossbody. Trish wants in and Val tags her in. She kicks Guerrero a lot but now Chyna's in and she's taking a beating.

Val saves the match and Guerrero is dumped out, Trish's clothesline backfired. Press slam from Chyna and it's over. New intercontinental champion Chyna! Val is furious with Trish.

Michael Cole is on Radio WWF. This is really bad.

According to Steph Kurt's a good kisser.

Tazz has some beef with JR this leads to Lawler and Tazz feuding. Wow this is one long package.

Tazz Vs. Jerry Lawler

Teddy Long will be the ref, dropkick from Lawler and there are some big right hands. Lawler from the second rope and his fist connects, doesn't the second time though. Tazz gains the upper hand and King is down.

Clothesline by Tazz and there's a rake to the eyes. Tazz trashtalks JR but Lawler gets up and attacks from behind. Down goes Tazz on the outside, action gets back in the ring. Tazz is begging and there's a headbutt and it's low.

Top rope and nobody there! The strap comes down and there's a few right hands. The piledriver! But tazz got right back up and down goes both the referee and Lawler, TAZZMISSSION! JR gets up and he just smashed the candy jar on Tazz's head!

Lawler wins! JR's bleeding from the hand.

WWF HARDCORE TITLE MATCH:

Shane McMahon Vs. Steve Blackman

The 24/7 rule has been suspended, that's no good. Blackman has a kendo stick with him. Shane wants nothing to do with Steve Blackman, he's got the Kendo stick and the shot misses and Shane's escaping through the crowd. There's a trashcan shot and Shane's slugging it out with Steve, but he gets caught and pummeled.

Blackman strikes him down and gets more weapons from under the ring. The kneecaps! Blackman targeted Shane's knees and now the back of the head with a lid. He proclaims the ring to be his house More sticks and there's even a leather strap. Trashcan on top of Shane and Blackman's goin crazy with the sticks.

There's a kick and Shane's dazed and there's a sidewalk slam. The leather strap's out, punches to the ribs and Blackman carres him up top and then pulls on the strap jerking Shane down. Blackman's choking him out. Test and Albert come out. Lawler though it was Edge and Christian. They get to work on Blackman Flying elbow on a lid which was on Blackman's face.

Shane's punching away, Blackman fights back and there's a sign right into his face. Test was pushing some sound equipment and Blackman got out of the way. Lawler points out that Blackman must have no friends. Albert accidently strikes down Test. Blackman has control of the kendo stick and Shane's escaping.

Both men are climbing the stage set and they're getting high, JR likes to call it 70 feet in the air Blackman's still striking the back and SHANE FALLS FROM UP TOP! Blackman JUMPS! THEY'VE BOTH CRASHED AND BURNED! Steve Blackman rules.

The commentators are hyping up how crazy all this was. Next up, a rivalry for the ages. Jericho and Benoit have been feuding wildly, card is looking real good from now on.

Chris Jericho Vs. Chris Benoit

Takedown from Jericho and they're rolling on the floor. Everyone falls out of the ring including the ref. Chioda keeps them apart and they go right back at it. Benoit rams Jericho into the ringpost. Drop toe hold and he's going for an STF and now the WALLS ARE INCOMING, CATAPULT AND A SUPLEX! Chop by Jericho and there's a shoulder breaker from Benoit.

Bulldog brings Benoit down, Lionsault into the knees and there's a takedown AND THE CROSSFACE HAS BEEN APPLIED! Jericho taps out for the first fall. He's right back down on him going for the crossface again and he's got it again! Jericho could tap out here, but he's aiming for the ropes. Wow, that's one creepy dude in the audience. Jericho reaches the ropes. Jericho's upside down in the corner and Benoit's bending him.

Jericho's rammed into the ringpost. There's a cover and Benoit's putting the hurt on Jericho right now. Y2J! chants can be heard and there's a strike from Benoit Jericho can't get up. But he hits Benoit in the face, both went down and again both men go down. Jericho strikes away and there's a suplex from Benoit. The waistlock is still on, ROLLUP FROM JERICHO AND THERE'S THE WALLS OF JERICHO!

Benoit is close to the ropes, but JERICHO PULLS HIM BACK INTO THE MIDDLE OF THE RING! BENOIT TAPS OUT! They share the first two falls. Backbreaker and Jericho's got the momentum. Hard chop and Jericho with a reverse elbow from up top. Benit won't go down to that. Hardshot to the back, missed powerbomb by Benoit, Jericho now attempts one, but his arm's hurting. Benoit trying to pin him, BRIDGE! Backslide, COUNTERED INTO A FULL NELSON SUPLEX!

These guys are showing off their athletic ability. Benoit goes up top and Jericho wass playing possum and both men are right up top AND THERE'S A TOP ROPE HURRICANERANA! Both men are flat on their backs. Double coutout is a posssibility right now. But Jericho gets a cover and Benoit kicks out. Lawler rooting for Benoit. Clothesline by Jericho and another. Elbow and down goes Benoit, Lionsault, CONNECTS! But the shoulder is busted. Benoit is chopping away, there's a craddle, REVERSAL and BENOIT HOLDS ON TO THE ROPES! Chris Benoit is victorious. These two men still hate each other.

Well here comes The Game. But it doesn't matter because we've got a video package involving the top three tag teams, they're using Chairs, they're using tables, they're using ladders. Foley has decided has decided to make everything legal.

Bubba rams a ladder on Jeff. There are the tables and Christian's setup and 3D RIGHT THROUGH THE TABLE! They might be going for even more tables! They just keep setting the tables up and we've got four tables! Jeff has been caught, but there's Edge with a series of chairshots! TWIST OF FATE ON EDGE! Matt's climbing up the ladder and there's the legdrop off the top, the ladder's setup again and JEFF LEAPFROGS THE LADDER for a legdrop on Edge. Edge is between a ladder and Christian's thrown on top of it!

Jeff is climbing a tall ladder, SWANTON BUT BUBBA GOT OUT OF THE WAY! JEFF GOES THROUGH TWO TABLES! Edge with a chairshot on Bubba and Matt's climbing a ladder, Devon and Edge and Christian join in. Reverse DDT from Christian. Edge and Devon soon follow. Bubba just got up. Everyone else is down and he's climbing! BUT EDGE AND CHRISTIAN PUSH THE LADDER AND HE JUST FELL RIGHT THROUGH FOUR TABLES!

Edge and Christian are climbing and hang on THERE'S LITA AND SHE PUSHES THE LADDER! Matt's got a golden chance. Lawler drives home the local hero factor! Matt's got a hand and DEVON PUSHES THE LADDER AND MATT GOES THROUGH TABLES! SPEAR! EDGE JUST SPEARED LITA! Her head bounced off a ladder!

Jeff's Hardy's back up and Devon's climbing and Jeff's fighting him and Edge and Christian are back in the ring, THEY'RE HANGING JEFF AND DEVON ARE HANGING BY THE BELTS! Edge and christian knock em down like human pinatas! Edge and Christian climb up and they get the belts!

Lawler makes a sound argument for Edge and Christian doing something impressive there.

Triple H and Stephanie are arguing.

STINKYFACE MATCH:

The Kat Vs. Terri

Perry Saturn's covering up Terri. Al Snow's got no problem with Kat wearing nuthing. Terri's already down and Kat went for a stinkface and I think that was supposed to be a spear. Terri's brought down and Kat's riding Terri.

Bronco Buster and Kat gets ready for a stinkface, bulldog by Terri. Bodyslam and Kat falls on her bum. Slap by Terri. Referee received a low blow. Al Snow throw head to Kat and Terri's knocked out. Well there's out stinkface.

Bradshaw and Faarooq are drinking in new york. Next up is Kane against Undertaker again. Kane's unhappy that his brother isn't a monster.

Undertaker Vs. Kane

Kane heads to battle against his brother, Undertaker knocks him out a couple of times and there's more right hands. Undertaker tried to rip the mask off. Undertaker with some big strikes. Kane's getting a chair. Undertaker's striking away and there's a shot to the spine from The Undertaker.

Undertakers going for the mask, it's been ripped off. Undertaker runs into a punch, Kane takes some steel steps and misses Undertaker, he instead hits himself in the face with them. Undertaker throws the teps right at Kane.

Those steps of course weight 300 lbs. Kane's been busted open according to JR. Hard to see really, low blow from Kane, ok now it's visible. Undertaker is losing the slugfest with Kane. Spear from Undertaker and he's getting right back on Kane's face.

More punches from The Undertaker and there's a chokeslam attempt, but Undertaker goes downstairs. The mask is off and Kane bails.

Kurt's on the phone and he's calling someone, oh that certain someone is Stephanie, she's pretending to be talking to her mom. Triple H sees through all those tricks.

There was a triple threat involving Angle, Jericho and The rock to face The Rock, only problem is that Jericho got double pinned. Triple H has been found in compromising situations with Trish.

Now Angle and Steph's are in nice little encounters. The Rock has been reduced to nothingness in this entire storyline. Stephanie's taking way too much screentime here hell the title's become irrelevant here.

MAIN EVENT:

WWF WORLD TITLE MATCH:

TRIPLE THREAT MATCH:

Kurt Angle Vs. Triple H Vs. The Rock

Match hasn't started but Angle and Triple H are brawling with each other. Triple H is stomping away on Kurt, the ref's down and Angle gets a clothesline. People don't give a **** they just want The Rock to come out. Triple H is starting to lay the beatdown on Kurt. The Spanish announce table is being cleared out and the table gives way before the pedigree could be dished out.

Triple H takes out a sledgehammer, IF YOU SMELL!! The crowd wakes up, the match starts and Rock gets a samoan drop off on Triple H. Kurt Angle is sitting in the corner with some EMTs. Triple H is now dominating The Rock. Rock's down again. Kurt Angle is looking like the world's biggest chump right now. He's on a stretcher. Rock is getting up.

Smackdown time and Rock got hung up on the ropes and now falls out of the ring. Rock is not worth Triple h's time and he's running after Angle to beat him up some more. Rock gets up and has no idea what this storyline has anything to do with the belt. So off he goes to lay some smackdown. Catapult on The Game into the stage set. Irish whip to The Rock and he gets up and gives Triple H a low blow.

The cameras ignore the match and go to Stephanie looking over Kurt Angle, she's concerned. Oh yeah there's a match happening. Triple H with a clothesline, back to Stephanie.

Rock must be getting annoyed and he takes a high knee. Triple H orders Stephanie to get the belt and she slaps Mark Eaton to get the belt. She just accidently nailed Triple H. Rock is fuming and is grabbing Stephanie but there's a low blow from Triple H and the action stops as we get more Stephanie and Triple H interaction. Rock is down again and there's a whip, but rock jumps in and hits Triple h.

There's a neckbreaker from Triple H and he's got the sledgehammer again, some right hands from The Rock, but the Game just used the Sledgehammer on Rock's midsection. There's a running knee. Lawler's asking why this match is a no DQ match. Someone one day will bring a Bazooka to one of these.

The Game's taunting everyone and he's taking his time before working on The Rock. Champ fights back but takes a facebuster, kickout from The Rock. There's another knee and a stomp. Rock's insides are turning into mush right now. Rock gets rammed into the ringpost.

The Hammer's still in plain sight and the crowd is booing The Game. At least we have match going on right now. Even if it's just The Rock lying on his back. Stomps from Triple H and some more stomps, followed by a kneedrop. Pause for some walking around.

Corner to The rock's face and there's a punch, one punch from The Rock and another, and there's a knee. BUT NECKBREAKER FROM ROCKY! Another knee from Triple H and he's going up top. Superplex from The Rock. Hebner's counting and Lawler's pointing out how dumb this is.

Stephanie's with Angle, so we get some more love story stuff. Kickout in the meantime! Rock just drove Triple H right into the canvas, but Triple H kicked out and there's some loud booing. Stephanie is dragging Angle to the ring. They're trading rights and PEDIGREE FROM THE ROCK! KURT ANGLE JUST TURNED ON TRIPLE H AND HE'S COVERING THE ROCK! KICKOUT! ZOOM IN ON STEPHANIE!

#300:

Kurt's got another cover but Rock's just trying to survive. Suplex from Angle, he's healing while using wrestling moves! More shots of Stephanie. Angle just got launched by The Rock and here's the DDT! Angle kicks out from that. Triple H is getting up and Angle sends him out. ROCK BOTTOM ON ANGLE! ROCK BOTTOM ON ANGLE!

Triple H with the save and he's beating up The Rock again, he wants the hammer again. Triple H is coming for it and Kurt gets to it first. Stephanie's in the ring and Triple H nails her by accident for once. Angle knocks out Triple H with the hammer. Angle's knocked out of the ring and THERE'S THE PEOPLE'S ELBOW ON TRIPLE H! Rock retains and looks like he's confused by what the hell just happened to what his opponents are doing in their own little world.

Fans are just relieved to see The Rock remain champion. Rock celebrates on top of the set. Angle meanwhile's taking Stephanie for a ride.

Coach is there doing a summerslam wrap up for WWF home video.
