I think it was when I played Ape Escape 1. It was the first game I played with real analog functionality (as in, needed them to even work), and when the tutorial said "you can push the sticks in like a button!" I was like wait what?

First game I ever played with that was Halo. I thought it was neat, even if a little hard to pull off until I got used to it.

Reminds me of Armored Core 2. At one point, I accidentally clicked the stick and it activated MOTHERF***ING OVERBOOST F*** YEAH

Reminds me how much I hate games where clicking the left stick is sprint, or even worse: clicking the right stick to aim.

*shudder*

AE was the bomb. I wish they'd make a new mainline one.

I don't remember what game caused me to learn it, but the game told me to press R3. I had to use Google to figure out what it meant.

I think I remember reading about it in the manual, but still being surprised later playing a game and being like, "Oh yeah, that's a button."

Okay, I rolled a 14. What's that mean? Hsu

I knew about it before any game I had actually required it. I don't remember it doing anything in Ape Escape though, the first games I remember needing it were PS2 games.
