Isaac runs terribly on my netbook too, but it runs. Fortunately, the game doesn't break due to low framerate, though it's a lot more annoying to play. I have that same problem too. =/ It's disappointing as hell. I can play Altitude, VVVVVV, and Civ 4 perfectly on my Macbook, but no matter how low I put settings at for Isaac, it lags to hell. Not unplayable; hell it's easier due to how slow it is, but slow enough to make it unenjoyable. Bought Bastion, Rock of Ages and Worms Crazy Golf.
Only bought 5 (also Orcs Must Die!, Fate of the World) games so far and got Spacechem (traded for FarCry). I find myself buying more and more short, cheap games instead of long 'blockbuster' games. I don't know if I enjoy them more, but I have difficulty keeping my attention on one game, this way I can actually finish some of them.
