I sometimes wonder how AT reacts at night knowing that his manga somehow led to this.


So unearthly awful, there is no point even deciding what version is better (worse) between the Japanese and English version, cause they both suck so much.

I could rant for ages about it.

But I'll just leave it at this.


Old Man Krillin>Base Kid Goku>SSJ4 Gogeta>Omega Shenron>BUILDINGS>SSJ 4 Goku and Vegeta.


Out of 64 episodes, there are maybe a quarter that are watchable. The first 16 episodes literally accomplish nothing (so much so that they were written out of the English version), The Super 17 saga is mind numbingly stupid. As is 70% of the Shadow Dragon. Super Bebi and the final 3 Dragons are the only thing even worth watching, and that is not to say it is good, just not abysmal.


I will give it credit for one thing though. The ending (like final few minutes) is amazing, (at least in Japanese) and is the ending DBZ should have had. Very fitting end to one of the longest, most iconic, and best anime of all time.

But then, Cell travels back in time from a world where the androids were killed. In the main DBZ timeline they kill cell in Gero's lab where he was just an embryo, and then after the cell saga Trunks kills Cell in his timeline, right? So where does the third timeline come from?

Show is so bad, Akira Toriyama retconned it out of existence in Dragon Ball Online

There are actually 4 timelines. Everyone just kinda ignores Timeline 4 (really 3 I guess if we are being technical) for some reason, makes sense, we never see anyone from it, and it happens pretty much identical to the other.

Timeline 1.

Trunks future.

Timeline 2.

Never seen, only exists because it has to exist for timeline 4 to exist.

Timeline 2 is probably the happiest DBZ could have been, (at least for 7 years) everyone would have survived (except the androids) including Goku and Trunks. Cell was killed by Krillin and Trunks who found the plans to stop the androids. The android devices would then be used, stopping them. Trunks returns to his own time, uses the device to stop the androids, then **** happens). This is the timeline before timeline 3, the one we never see, because of Cell.

Timeline 3


What we actually see. Trunks from timeline 1, and Cell from timeline 4 effect the timeline.

Timeline 4. This creates timeline 2

Virtually identical to timeline 1 except Trunks is killed by Cell, who takes the time machine creating timeline 3.

It is also the darkest DBZ could be, everyone dies. EVERYONE.

Also, Timeline 4 should be 1, as I guess it is the original timeline. which in turn creates timeline 2 which we never see. When Trunks leaving from 1 leaves timeline 2, Cell steals the machine, creating timeline 3. Or maybe both of the futures should be 1 and 2 respectively, (not mattering which is which, since I am not sure you can know for sure, they are identical till Trunks returns) and then 3 and 4 would be the altered timelines created by things from 1 and 2 respectively.

Only when taken over by Bebi. And even that was just a prelude to Vegeta, who for some reason is considered stronger (by alot) than Gohan despite the fact Gohan is (AT LEAST) 8 times stronger than Vegeta at the end of DBZ against Buu.

The only other significant things they did is heal Goku during the Syn Shenron fight, and hold off Omega Shenron for a few precious seconds after Goku was "killed"

So it was the Goku Show ft. Vegeta for the most part?

Dragonball Goku Time is the only apt description of this show. Vegeta gets very little time either. If anything it is Goku featuring Pan and sorta Trunks show.

I don't know how many times I have seen that, but it NEVER fails. Once it gets to the part where he lands in front of everyone at teh World Tournament and narrator speaks, I get emotional.


Also, it is not a coincidence that the GT portion of that is literally 10 seconds. Even Toei knew it sucked, so all the clips are DB/DBZ

Honestly, he would not get much out of it.


There is not much Cell knows that would have helped him. Any move Cell had, if it was useful, the Z Warriors would have used it against Buu, and Buu learns things instantly after seeing them once. (So Majin Buu could have done the Shin Kokoho if he wanted to after Tien had used it) By the same token, none of his innate abilites would have helped, as Buu had them all, and even if having Saiyans cells would ahve made him get stronger after nearly dying, he had all ready absorbed 3 Saiyans.

So then, it comes down to a pure stength thing. As Buu's absorbtion technique is simple addition. Dabura is stated to be even to Cell, and SSJ 2 Teen Gohan is equal to Dabura. Dabura would have got trashed by Goku or Vegeta, and neither one of them can hold a candle to Buu. SSJ Gotenks is said by Goku to be as strong as he is. And SSJ 3 Gotenks is 8 times stronger than SSJ Gotenks. SSJ Gotenks is barely stronger than Super Buu. SSJ 3 Goku is way stronger than 4 times SSJ 2 Gohan, but for simplicity sake we'll say it is only 4. So at the very least Super Buu (just normal) is 32 times stronger than Cell/Dabura/SSJ 2 Teen Gohan. Super Buutenks and Super Buuhan are well more than 64 times stronger than him. If Cell were absorbed by Super Buucolo, he would change to Super Buucell, but it would be a literal drop in the bucket, and Gohan would still trash him. It is debatable what would be stronger Buff Buu or Buucolo, or but in the end it doesn't matter. Cell is completely outclassed by this time.

Cell is much weaker than Gotenks, so this version of Buu wouldn't be anything special compared to the the stronger forms of Super Buu we saw in the series.
