There will be spoilers for Katangatari and Deadman Wonderland
Senji Kiyomasa is from Deadman Wonderland and has full control of his blood which he uses as a weapon. He's equipped with serrated rings and other bladed items which he uses to cut himself. He prefers using bladed techniques, including scythes around his body, a giant sword, a barrier of blood-swords, or using it as a bladed blood-whip that moves at supersonic speeds and can easily cut through a foot of concrete to destroy a giant robot and half the room in the process.
VERSUS
Nanami Yasuri is from Katanagatari and though she has great reflexes and durability, her main power is observation and is completely ruthless and unemotional. She can see a martial arts stance only once and understand everything about it, and if she sees a skill or technique once she will remember it and be able to do it. If she sees it twice she will fully master it. As a result, she's a master of the Kyotouryu style which her brother and father practice, which is a hand to hand style where the individual trains their bodies to be "like swords" where it's designed to deal with and defeat every other form of melee combat, whether it be by disarming them, destroying their weapon, or killing the person who wields it. She's also copied the ninpo of Kamikiri Maniwa which allows her to strengthen and extend her nails into extremely sharp claws, mastered Chouchou Maniwa's ninpo of turning himself weightless, and Mitsubachi Maniwa's ninpo of launching small objects with spikes at high speeds while being poison tipped and extremely difficult to remove. The middle skill, being weightless, has been shown to allow its user to skate on water while carrying 2 people, move at high speeds, combine with other techniques, and be moved by air pressure before an attack reaches them.
In addition to these techniques she also carries a passive ability of superhuman strength which she saw from a village of superhuman beings. In this village, even the weakest 11 year old girl could easily swing with one arm - even in mid-air after swinging downwards once already - a sword that a simple toss could create a foot deep crater of its shape. Said sword was unable to be lifted by the main character, whose physical strength outside of those from that village and Nanami was unmatched through the series and could easily lift over his head, bend, and toss a full grown man in a heavy suit of armor high into the air. Nanami has the strength of the best adult male from that village and killed all but 1 person in it without a scratch even in her sickly state, with her strength being able to blow away a small wooden shrine without even touching it. Once she gathered the dagger-like "sword" Akuto Bita she put into her chest as it provided a regen to her body, no longer making her sickly anymore, and easily allowed her to be able to kill the main character 272 times in at most a few seconds. With the blade in her chest she was the strongest character in the series and was viewed as unbeatable. Her sickly state is due to her being too strong for her body to handle, and even with the blade removed her durability is high enough to fight with a hole in her chest as her body gradually ripped itself apart due to her unrestrained power.
Neutral battlefield, write ups are summations etc.
Liking Harry and having somebody who could quote entire passage from memory arguing like a demon for him is one thing. Having all that AND an interesting match is another.
But I'll give the contest the benefit of doubt until we're a full division of 16 entrants in. Anything else would be unfair.
From: KJH | #007 I have had no clue who at least half the characters are. Like, not even seen their names before. >_>
Well no one knows most of the characters you liked in Mercs either, but it doesn't keep them from being interesting characters. Instead of wanting more mainstream characters maybe you should expand your horizons some? This isn't a popularity contest, after all.

*checks* next couple matches are... Roy/Mantis Smith/Nero Chaos Machamp/Ocelot
...not bad. anyway, Senji kinda got screwed here really.
an example of the destruction.
and him playing with a guy, not necessarily him being serious, but again shows the cutting.
dude's actually pretty nice and can have his blood go with supersonic whips, and those bullets he's cutting get pretty damn powerful - Ganta's good shots (the last one) are also known to be supersonic and reach bullet-like speeds with considerably more power.
he's screwed though because Katanagatari has a top notch gunner in it and when asked what his strategy to fighting Nanami was, his answer was "I wouldn't."
for some reason Katangatari ep 7 ain't on youtube.4 is though, in spanish. this is also before she goes out there to get the sword and was just doing this casually and wondering what her brother was doing.
part 3 and 4 also are awesome at this too. it starts here, and that's the first fight scene she has. after she's done with it, she goes out on the journey and... proceeds to become a complete monster of a character.

From his looks Magus is Macho Man Randy Savage as an anime zombie. The black wind howls, and one of you will snap into a Slim Jim ooh yeeeah! -sonicblastpunch
his problem mostly comes that anything he can do, she can do better. it's likely she'd be able to learn how to manipulate blood from seeing him. if she hits him, he's dead because her strength outclasses his by a ton. she's lighter on her feat and more dodgy than he is due to her ability to nullify most of gravity's effects on her. he'd be pretty great against a bunch of other guys and beat a lot of the low to mid-card (e.g., curbs guys like Guts), but not her.
