A much much weaker half of the division. Tonks wins by default, but how did the rest of these characters get seeded that high? I'd take Molly over anyone but Tonks, and i'd have to think about that one.

Phineas and Lucius own. And Lockhart's hilarious. Perhaps you'd take Molly over any of them is because... wait for it... you like/love of Molly Weasley makes you a tad biased! :O

Who the hell like Phineas with a passion? I'd be shocked if he beat sprout. Lucius is good in the early books but he's nurtured for the second half of the series.

oh hey this is decent! Cedric/Ginny should be a good match, Flitwick and Parvati are decently strong, Hannah is maybe the strongest 14 seed, and rose is gonna get crushed.

You don't count Raka because you'll vote for all the teachers because they're teachers. Literally can't remember a single facet of Sprout's personality. Was she kind? Dunno. Was she wise about anything other than plants and herbs? No clue. Was she brave, cowardly, was she a pillar of strength for those around her? Beats the hell outta me! But I remember Phineas pretending to be asleep when someone needed his help. I remember Phineas was the one who told Sirius that Harry was in trouble. I remember Phineas popping up in the Headmaster's office being his usual smarmy self. Phineas rocks.

The Sorting Hat is very beatable by a strong 6, 11 or 14 but that 4 pack has 0 of them. I'd seriously consider takign Petunia over any of the other 6 (not including Hagrid obv) in this division half. Hagrid destroys whoever before falling to Luna. Hagrid deserves better than sweet 16 but oh well.

I would've like Percy x10 more if he was the first Weasley to be placed in Slytherin. Instead he upheld the family tradition of landing in Gryffindor only to... act nothing like a typical Gryffindor would. He abandons his family for a position of power and influence within the Ministry, and even when he becomes fully aware that the Dark Lord's minions are starting to take control, he doesn't return to his family's side to give them hope, keep them strong... he sticks it out, making his mother worry herself sick over him! It's only until the Battle at Hogwarts, literally the very last chance he could've taken to sever his ties with the Dark side, does he deliver is famous "Consider this my resignation" line. And this is only after seeing his entire family fighting with such resolve that he does so.

I'm supposed to believe this one small act of courage is supposed to redeem him and justify him as a man befitting of being a Gryffindor? I just don't buy it. Every action he had made up to that point screams "Slytherin". Think about it. Slytherin's aren't necessarily evil (though it's pretty hard to tell because most of Rowling's Slytherins are one-note, one-dimensional baddies), they're just ambitious. They'll generally do whatever it takes to get ahead, which usually drives them to make bad decisions. Percy forsaking his family for the cushy job at the Ministry is exactly that! Why, oh why, was he not a Slytherin???

I think it would've added a lot more depth to the series if there was at least one Slytherin student that wasn't a total douche. Just one who was neutral and not evil.

The Hermy genes would balance them out. Plus, if I'm not mistaken Ron says in the Epilogue that Rose takes after her mother. I don't want to check that statement because I promised myself I would never read that horrid conclusion again.

Not an anti-vote. Fudge is more important to the story, and one of the more interesting villains of the series, being something other than "I like to crush the skulls of puppies." An incompetent and ignorant and therefore dangerous politician is a pretty interesting archetype for a villain. Granted, I'd say the series has a generally weak villain cast, so standing out among this lot hardly makes Fudge top tier. Still though, Dobby is mostly a comic relief character, and one who, in my opinion, really needs scenes set up for him to be funny (which is done in Book 2 where the plot is built around him, but not so much in later books).
