- No fatties. Sorry Fat Neil. - Choose a song, provide a link (no direct downloads, please), and do both of these in a timely manner. - You have to rate, rank, and comment on every song chosen by another member. It doesn't matter how eloquent your reviews are, we won't judge. Just get 'em in! It's a nice exercise. - Have your reviews in by the end of our week. Refusal to do so will result in suspensions and expulsions. - Have fun! This is just a silly thing we do for a few months, no need to take offense, or insult anybody for any reason. Except Carl. Have at him.
Ok, here are the rankings from what we did two weeks ago:

Man was my song the outlier or what? Only song that did not have a first or last place vote. Never had a vote better than fifth and somehow managed to not get last

"Anybody interested in grabbing a couple of burgers and hittin' the cemetery?" -Royal "Oh sure, walk to the sun"- Guybrush
What are you talking about? It's the hardest part, by far!
Munly & The Lupercalians - Grandfather
I wanted to enter Love As Laughter's "Coconut Flakes", but Vevo took over and wiped out the album versions of the song. **** vevo, literally the worst thing to happen to youtube.
1. The Black Keys - Little Black Submarines I don't think this is even a top five song on the album, but it's The Black Keys, so it's still awesome. My only complaint is that it takes a bit too long to kick in or something.
2. The National - I Need My Girl This is a song by The National.
3. Queens of the Stone Age - Suture Up Your Future This would be #1 in an average week.
4. Kanye West - The Glory Solid Kanye song.
5. Munly & The Lupercalians - Grandfather This is cool. Probably gonna snag an album.
6. Massive Attack - Future Proof My feelings re: Massive Attack "sort of neat, but meh"
7. Hiromi Uehara - Time Difference Talented, for sure. The middle couple minutes were kind of annoying.
8. Lydia - Now The One You Once Loved Is Leaving Bad. And long, too.
I liked five songs this week! Mind you, only one of them was one I hadn't heard before.
The Black Keys - Little Black Submarines This is a great song. The start might be a tiny bit long and it might not have the build up I'd want to the second half but it's still a very solid piece.
9.0
Queens of the Stone Age - Suture Up Your Future Strong stuff. Intro and outro are especially good. Kinda lacks a middle bridge or whatever, but the song is good enough without one.
8.0
Hiromi Uehara - Time Difference This was very impressive. The middle section lasted a little too long, but that's really it. Not always a fan of these Jam session type tracks.
7.5
Massive Attack - Future Proof Massive Attack always brings neat and interesting atmosphere to their music. The weird undistinguishable vocals are... okay. Songs like this are not something I'd listen to all the time, but they are good every now and then
7.0
Radio Moscow - Luckydutch Hrmm. Mixed on this one. I'll give it the solos are great but great solos can only take the song so far, and it lacks an emotional push that something like blues you, or the energy that metal has.
6.0
The National - I Need My Girl I'm not really into The National and this doesn't change my mind. The guitar is nice but it's just a little too low key for me.
5.5
Munly & The Lupercalians - Grandfather Interesting. Has a pretty good sound to it but his voice just gets really annoying after awhile.
5.5
Kanye West - The Glory - KCF I like a lot of Kanye, but that Chipmunk in the background gets to you. It's just very distracting
but also that's a bad theme week because i would have to actually go out and look for music and thats the point of sotw for me (to get new music instead of looking for it)
