Not winning the presidency, but being chosen as the candidate? This race has been all over the place it seems as time goes the more likely candidates are to hurt themselves, except Ron Paul who doesn't have any dirt on him. I think Gingrich is going to fall fast, and I don't think the Republican party will back Paul because he's not much of a Republican. I predict we'll be stuck with Romney.
Romney, and I still feel reasonably confident about that, but the NEWT is a bigger threat than the previously barely-known flavors of the month like Bachmann, Perry, and Cain. For one, Gingrich is opening up a significantly larger lead on Romney in early voting states than any other candidate has managed. For two, we're getting pretty close to starting time. The Iowa caucus is in, what, three weeks?

even if most republicans are pro-DADT, the way Perry comes across is just hateful.
Sorry, but what part of this means that people wouldn't vote for Perry?
Unless the Republicans are going to pull another Bush and get every scumsucking backwoods hillbilly to crawl out from under their rock to vote against buttsex

I mean, maybe I'm giving Republicans too much credit, but I think MOST of them would find this commercial at least in poor taste. The christian extremists might like it, but that's about it.
Romney will be the nominee unless Gingrich can somehow hold onto his lead....but I don't think he will....if republican primary voters seriously go for a career politician who has had extramarital affairs over a businessman who hasn't, I don't even know what to say. Hopefully we can all never mention the tea party again, at any rate.

I'm "kind of a big deal". http://img.imgcake.com/cyclo/Cyclopngegpngre.png
Romney, the smiling snake oil salesman who will say anything to get elected, is of the most sterling character when put up against Newt Gingrich. Newt just screams "slimeball." That's why I'm rooting for him; the entertainment value would be through the roof.
