Milk/White can go either way.

All you need for a correct ranking is that they're both ahead of Dark.

Could use some more ">" signs, though

Dark is definitely the best. I'm not sure how I'd rank the other two but white is mostly good in the context of something else, like ice cream.

Milk > White > Dark is totally American... since it shows sugar levels in each, and Americans like nothing more than sugars and fats.

Why should I? I say I owe no one anything. If it's fair game for someone to stereotype others of a 'minority', then why can't the minority stereotype the 'majority'? So it's fair for that guy to say 'All Asians are racist', yet I can't even make a stereotypical fat joke?

Your argument is that stereotyping is bad

If you're saying that you can make stereotypical jokes, than so can everyone. But that's not what you want, is it? If you want people to apologize for making those remakes, you should apologize for what you say.

Frankly, I think you shouldn't apologize because it's just a small joke. The only reason I'm saying you SHOULD is because your argument is that small jokes aren't okay with you, so you're going against what you say here.

There is no hypocrisy because the people in this topic are different from the people in the other topic. What, do all white users like alike to you? lolololol

Secondly, I said apologize (as a joke, mostly >_>) because it applies to what you would want other people to do. You think people shouldn't tell racist jokes. So according to you, you did something mean and should apologize. Whether completely different people didn't apologize doesn't matter, you said what you said, and according to you, you should apologize!

It shows your inability to laugh at your own stereotypes, which you have perpetuated.

Are you saying he's perpetuating stereotypes, or that Americans are perpetuating American stereotypes? I don't think either is true.

Dark chocolate is best, then milk, then white in my book.

That's what I'd call stereotyping, Nio.

There's a difference between poking fun at stereotypes and perpetuating stereotypes.

Long story short, by saying Americans perpetuate American stereotypes, for one thing you're painting with a broad brush. For example, by saying fat Americans is a stereotype and saying we perpetuate it, you're saying we're all a buncha fatties.

Probably not what you meant to say, ha anyways long story short you're really making a mess here Nio.

I get that your thing in this topic is to keep comparing it to that topic, but that doesn't really apply to our conversation here.

I'm just pointing out saying we're "perpetuating stereotypes" means keeping the stereotypes alive by essentially making them reality. It's never a flattering thing to say.

Ha, okay, one thing those shows you named, The Simpsons. Only one of those titular Simpsons is a fat guy. Ditto for the other shows I think, not getting how those support America being fat. I dunno, I guess mathematically maybe those shows would suggest 1 out of 10 Americans are fat? But then again I also assume you do know more about us, even from just posting in threads, than from TV.

But I didn't know this was all in hypothetical. I know you somewhat, so I thought we were talking, so I expected some measure of friendliness. I had no idea I'm in some kind of science experiment here. =P

However, in the Simpsons and Family Guy, the main character is usually showing off how 'awesome' he is compared to the other non-fat characters, which to those who don't really care to learn more about another culture, shows that "Oh, fat is awesome and thin is not over there... got it.". And of course I know more that what I let on.... I actually do read newspapers every single day.

Me? Friendly? Whatever do you mean. =P Social science experiments, like many science experiments does not make the distinction between friend or foe.

I'm nicer when talking about things I like

I am pretty sure that in Family Guy and the Simpsons the fat characters are constantly being mocked and ridiculed not only for their weight, but also their stupidity. So I'm not sure where you would get that idea.
