Started Homestuck a week or two ago I'm currently just past the Act 4 recap. I have little time to just sit down and read, but when doing work my mind often wanders to Homestuck, and it feels like I'm dissecting this s*** like Umineko sometimes. Except about seventy times more ridiculous but still.
Don't post spoilers ahead of where I already am plz, this is mostly just for me to store my thoughts in writing so I can laugh at myself for being wrong or feel awesome for kinda guessing the answer.
Anyways, stuff I remember off the top of my head;
-I think the reason that Jasper suddenly disappeared and was found dead was because of Future Rose trying to tell her past self to awaken. Future Dave makes the suggestion to go to sleep and try to live on in her dream world, possibly even get herself to awaken earlier. There is no chance in hell that is not a Chekhov's Gun. I believe somehow Future Rose was able to get Jasper to tell Rose the secret; this caused a time paradox somehow which corrected itself by killing off Jasper. And, well, in a way, she probably DID awaken earlier; the entire reason Rose programmed her kernel into Jaspersprite was to find out the secret. Without Jaspersprite, who knows how long it would have taken to awaken!
-I believe the entire world/universe/whatever resets itself somehow between games, and the trolls are from a future game or a past game. By 'reset itself', I mean that the same world is used, but a looooooooooong time passes between games. A game happens, then life is extinguished or transported to another plane of reality with a few people left over to eventually rebuild society. The trolls aren't 'aliens'; they're from the same world/universe. Main reason I think this is because of Jack/Spades. The shot of the Midnight Crew at the beginning of Jack: Ascend made me wonder; didn't the Midnight Crew only form in the trolls' universe? It might just be a fourth wall breaking moment, but I feel like it could be foreshadowing. Not to mention, how could Jade's package transcend universes and ambiguously cause the trolls the complete loss of their game?
-Jade is evil. I have very little to base this on, but when you strip away all the <333333 and !!!!!!!!! and :D, she seems totally villainous. Not to mention witch isn't a very positive sounding name to call her! And she just seems like such an exception to everyone else. Well, if she's not evil, someone evil is using her. I dunno, I don't have too much logic behind this one but a whooole lotta gut.
-The reason the blind chick tries to get John killed is a self-fulfilling time loop. John will tell her in the future to try to kill him because the outcome of that would lead to the current situation he's in at the time. I mean, it's happened with the trolls punching each other, why can't it happen with trying to get someone killed? >_>
I'll have more later when they come to me, but these are the big ones that stand out. If I'm factually wrong on something or am using faulty logic based on things that are stated or foreshadowed up until the act 4 recap, lemme know, but dun spoil me ;_;
