All I need is the I,IV, and V chords of the following four keys.

C, G, D, and A harmonic minor.

Thanks!

I just learned how to do this!

it's simple, if requiring busy work

like the IV chord of C minor, you would start on the 4th scale degree and build the triad from there

Yes, that's right. Those chords would be called "C major," "F major," and "G major."

Everything except for the V chord for Am; it's the only tricky one in this set. Remember that in the harmonic minor, everything is the same as the natural minor except for the 7th, which is raised a half step, so you end up with:

A B C D E F G# A

Giving you A-C-E, D-F-A, and E-G#-B.

Thanks Crono. If there's any song you want played and recorded on my SWEET KEYBOARD. Let me know and I'll try and go learn it.

Assuming you mean C,D and G major, those first three are correct yes.

A harmonic minor has one error which is the G in your last chord, which should be a G sharp.

edit: Welp. That's what you get for not refreshing

So you only need major chords? I'm just curious because the natural I-IV-V progression for harmonic minor is minor-minor-major (i-iv-V).

If I misunderstood, just ignore me. Hah.

I assumed that at first too, but I think he meant the chords for C, D and G Major and A Harmonic minor.

Why else?

Oh I assumed it was like, a music theory class or something and you didn't know how to do triads for some reason. My mistake.

It's pretty easy though! It was already explained perfectly, just knowing the scales and what a scale degree is gets you by really far when it comes to music theory.

Ya. I'm in a piano I class here in college. There a test tomorrow where 80% of it is playing pieces, but we're also supposed to know this.
