Nio is the first girl (and first character) you will meet in the game. A very cheerful, energetic, and bubbly girl, she found you deserted on the beach and nursed you back to health. She intended to keep you as her pet/friend but was forced to give you up after the mayor found out about it.
Nio came from the faraway land of Malaysia. She occasionally can be seen at the harbor looking at the sea, deep in thought about her homeland.
To boost her heart points easily, befriend a bunny and show it to her. Or win the "Best of Go Nagai" CD from the Horse Race Tournament and give the CD as a gift.

When you get her to Orange heart, you'll be able to fight her. You'll need a bit of grinding, rare equipments, and a lot of luck to beat her. If you win, she'll move in to the town, while suppressing her powers.

Has an obsession with his hair. If you insult his hair, be prepared for a fight the next day. And regardless of the result, a bunch of squirrels will invade your farm for three days - they can harvest your produces if you don't harvest them first.

Aqua comes out of the sea after you spent 3 real life hours at the beach (this should be easy if you like to fish). She doesn't seem to be well-versed in human interaction. She only wants to talk to you and the fishermen. No one really knows who she really is.
Although she likes a lot of things, she's actually one of the hardest girls to woo, as she requires a lot of points to increase her heart level. However, if you decide to marry her, fishing will be a lot more profitable and easier.

Availability: Finish the quests 'An Apparition' and 'It Came Back'

A lich that attacked the villagers at night. If you choose to spare her at the end of 'It Came Back', she will be confined to one of the unused rooms in the church. She's really hostile at first, but keep offering gifts until she has at least purple heart, and she will be willing to talk to you. She used to be an adventurer who lost to a sorcerer and got turned into a lich.
After you see her yellow-heart cutscene, a new dungeon will open up behind the church. It's full of undead enemies so bring a holy-element weapon. If you defeat the boss at the bottom of the dungeon, you'll be able to turn Sandro back into a human and marry her. Lose to the boss, and you'll see a special game over cutscene.

Lilly is the shy and reserved florist of the town. The extent of her floral knowledge knows no bounds. She love her flowers too much that she overprices her flowers so she wouldn't have to part with them (she sells flower seeds at normal price though, because they're not flowers yet).
After you get to know her better, she turns out to be a very amiable person.
It's harder to raise her heart level in Winter because she's permanently gloomy due to the lack of flowers.

A barbarian who intends to raze the village. However, after you defeated him, he changed his mind and wants to take you down first. Brutish but determined, he spends his time by either doing part-time jobs to pay the rent, stalking you, or training in the dungeons.
After a while, he actually adapts to the village and forgot about his original intention. Nevertheless, he's still trying to be your rival and will post quests to challenge you.

He's shorter than most people and might not even be human. But he's very easy to befriend and will give you the second best watering can in the game if you max his friend points

Wears an eyepatch and keeps a parrot around to look more legit. Is apparently popular with girls for some reasons, but he claims he's in love with adventure. If you're friends with him, you can team up with him to the dungeons.

Although he looks about your character's age, he's actually at least ten years older than the main character. Many people ponder the secret of his youthfulness.

Dante arrives at the town at 10.00 p.m. and later after you beat your 100th monster. However, he won't come at nights before event days.
A traveler who's looking for someone called Beatrice, apparently he was instructed by his friend Vergil to go to the town. As he quickly learns, there's nobody named Beatrice in your town. Regardless, he's sure there's a clue in the town or the surrounding area, so he decided to settle down until he finds a clue.
You can also team up with Dante after you're friends with him. He uses swift sword attacks and buff magics.
Continue befriending him and you'll unlock a quest to help him meet Beatrice. For further details, look in the [Quests] section.

Home: Edward's Mansion
Occupation: Student
Availability: Befriend Edward. He will arrive a week after the event 'A Letter from Abroad'.

The son of Edward's old friend, he's a college student currently in process of doing the research for his thesis. It's something about environments, but we are never told the details.
A serious and studious young man, he's also pretty idealistic. He wants to build his country by maximizing its vast potential.
He will frequently post quests in which you can help him with his research. The rewards are, more often than not, rare items needed for some equipments.

At night, he goes to the bar to grab a few drinks. Except not really. He's a pretty heavy drinker and he'll challenge you at a drinking contest. If you win, he'll give you a new hoe. Be careful though, as you will wake up dizzy the next day regardless of the contest's outcome.
