Still, once you put MW3, it became a joke list. Best dictates good, and you have MW3, Halo 2, HL 2, GTA SA, MP 2, and worst of all WoW on that list. IE, there goes the good.

This month GOD STOMPS that month, which pretty much had Jak 3, Everquest 2, Ratchet and Clank, and MGS 3 (overrated as hell, but still great, unlike the other games, which are overrated and suck) and Prince of Persia.

That is 2 great games, and 3 good games.

This month has Arkham, Skyrim, Skyward, Sonic Generations, Battlefield 3 (all GotY candidates) Kirby's Epic Dream Land, and Mario Land 3D. It's not even close.

November is gonna be so good.

saints row is gonna have massive amounts of DLC. Something like new stuff every week for the next year. Any DLC released within the first 2ish months is just a company trying to screw you over, unless its a patch to fix a technical issue or something (which is almost always free).....

Heroes 6? Heroes of Might and Magic 6?

yep, its pretty fun too. Its not quite as good as heroes 3/WoG, but its a fresh new game thats worth playing just because heroes 3 has been beaten to death by its fans now...its over a decade old. Heroes 5 was solid too btw. But ya, check out heroes 6. So far for me id give it a solid 8.5/10. A little simplistic in some ways (fewer resources being the biggest thing), but they really expanded the hero customization!

I see, something about 40 weeks of DLC... Sounds good to me! It could be free, or cheap, and it almost certainly won't be required or make the main game any less awesome! I mean, open world games have the most content outside of RPGs, so to think you won't be getting your money's worth is questionable.

Oh man, I remember that month in 2004. There was this running joke in my class with Halo 2. It basically consisted of complaining about literally anything a teacher asked you to do and responding with "I just wanna play Halo!" in a whiny voice.

It was the most recent Sonic game, and the first game to be an exception to the cycle at all... It could go either way, for sure, but Generations has gameplay trailers, it has demos... Certainly doesn't seem like a bad game. I'm not a fan of the series at all, but really you can't predict based on a broken rule.

Batman, Uncharted 3, Skyrim and potentially Skyward Sword are the only ones I'd consider significant. Yearly shooter incarnations and remakes are not.

Even then all of those are sequels and all may be eclipsed by their predecessors. Just a typical holiday season more than anything especially good I'd say.

Well, there goes your argument. Colors was hugely critically acclaimed, and had it not been out the same year as Super Mario Galaxy 2 and DKCR, it would have been the best game out on the Wii last year.

whats funny is all i was trying to do with topic was express how gamers should be excited after a pretty meh past few years imo. It wasnt meant to be some "omg cod on the list and no sonic generations....fail list!!!". It was just to express how people should be having a good time this holiday season and throughout the rest of the winter.

and for the record i do feel nov 2004 is the better month. 1998 is the best year as a whole though...

but ya, damn some of you guys are really angry and biased people. So you dont like shooters...hell im not a big console shooter fan either...doesnt mean modern warfare 3 isnt a big release to tons of gamers.
