Holy crap Red Wings are so awful now.

Almost every single offensive possession is just enter the zone, then either turn over the puck or fire a long and easily stopped shot from the blue line, then turn back on defense. Sometimes they just give up the puck before reaching the other side and give up an odd man rush.

That said I can't believe Konopka was thrown out of the game and got a 5 minute major for that hit. Anisimov should get an oscar for his performance. Then there's a legit 5 minute major game misconduct hit on Alfredsson that could have been about 4 different penalties and he gets a 2 minute minor.

Colour me surprised this happens to the Sens.

Pretty sure none of the refs got a good look at the Wolski hit... it wasn't even called originally and there's no way that's because of the severity. Probably a case of "one of the linesman saw it out of the corner of his eye" so they talk it over and give the guy a conservative penalty. Don't see any room for conspiracy there.

For what it's worth, Wolski's much more likely to get a suspension than Konopka. For all that I don't think I agree with you that Konopka's penalty wasn't worth a major.

Anyway, great to see the Canucks finally put in a solid performance last night. Maybe they just need to play good teams!
