However a solution would soon be found. I withdrew Tanuki the Sentret and taught him Toxic, and that combined with his Run Away ability allowed me to clean out Cerulean Cave unmolested. But I'm still too weak to take on the super elite four and their lvl 70-ish pokemon. More levels must be gained!

And I must say your movesets could uses some improvements...
The Hitmons are in the same area as Lapras.
Not sure what you mean about the movesets, they are pretty much optimized to the limit that the game allows me at that point in time. Perhaps the great poke-guru could enlighten me?
I meant they could be more diverse. Jolteon doesn't need three Electric attacks and Arcanine doesn't need Flamethrower and Fire Blast. When I used Jolteon, I taught it HP Ice so it could go up against Dragon and Grass types. This is just my opinion, though.

You do realize you don't have any control of what type Hidden Power is in the actual games, don't you? My Jolteon does know Shadow Ball now that I got enough to buy the TM from game corner. ...and yes, Arcanine does need both those moves as Fire Blast only has 5 pp.
I mean, I'm not trying to battle this team competitively online, I'm using it to do a Nuzlocke run against in-game CPU trainers, and it is built as such.

You can test out the HP type against wild Pokemon and keep resetting until you get the type and power that you want. That's what I did.

This is a nuzlocke run. Resetting is cheating. Plus, I'm pretty sure a pokemon's hp type is set when it's first generated in the wild, so resetting wouldn't help anyway.

Ah, forgot that you can't reset. If you could, though, you could save right before you get the Eevee Pokeball and keep resetting until you get the HP type and power you want.
Training is extremely slow without Cerulean Cave, so I have decided to just challenge the hard elite four and get it over with. I do not expect to win at these low levels, though.
Like last time, Lorelei was not much of a challenge despite her new Piloswine. Bruno, however, was again quite annoying. Shroom! was killed, and now I'm out of potions. :\
Alas, Agatha's high level pokemon with their strong and varied attacks proved too much for my potionless team. I was able to bring her down to her last pokemon, however. Thus ends my nuzlocke run, I hope you all enjoyed following along with it!
