Final Fantasy 5 had PS1 and GBA releases. Even without them just being playable in Dissidia is enough to beat Guybrush.

Guybrush has a day match, which is a disadvantage for him. Most of Guybrush's strength comes from Europe and Europe is more dominant in a night match than a day match.

I don't think Guybrush/LeChuck is a completely lost cause... but yeah, Bartz/Gilgamesh definitely deserves to be the favorite.

The funny thing is, Bartz/Gilgamesh is probably one of the only pairs where the antagonist is probably the stronger entrant.

Actually, Terra/Kefka might be another. Final Fantasy with the quality antagonists!

(I don't even want to say "villain" here, because SPOILERS Gilgamesh ends up being heroic in the end.

Bartz/Gilgamesh is a non-rivalry from a lesser-known FF game, but that's still enough to propel it to a victory - Guybrush has never amounted to anything in the contest. I think this match is going to be a lot closer than some people will give it credit for, because I think Guybrush has been in enough contests now for Monkey Island to have gathered a little bit of popularity since - but it's not enough.

The funny thing is, neither of these pairings are even rivalries at all! Final Fantasy with the crappy rivalries!

I mean Cloud/Sephiroth and Squall/Seifer are fine but Terra/Kefka? That's as big a non-rivalry as Crono/Lavos is.

Yeah, I agree completely, but who cares because Kefka and Gilgamesh are both hilarious characters. Not hilarious the way it's hilarious to see joke entrants like Adolf in this thing; hilarious like...well, hilarious.
