Also in the next few updates they will begin transferring over to the concept of traditional final fantasy jobs -- so far they have announced paladin, white mage, black mage, dragoon, bard, and warrior, but there are still classes they have not announced yet.
the game still sounds absolutely terrible but the fact that they are learning from and fixing their mistakes is exciting. I'm pretty stoked to see how the game will turnout in a year or two from now. Supposedly FFXI was absolutely horrible when it was released but it has become incredibly content-heavy and many of its problems were fixed (I know someone is going to make a crack about how XI is terrible because they hate MMOs).
Also, to celebrate today being the first year anniversary of FFXIV, the director had a live question and answer session with such hard-hitting questions like "Do you really like spicy food?"

If this were true I'd have been much more interested in it. Sadly they failed to follow up on everything that made XI fantastic. Except the soundtrack, apparently.
Never encountered any b8ers that played it really. Played with a group of friends though. Most of us loved it and a few liked it but got annoyed by some of the leveling aspects.
Agh, need to finish Chester PC so I can waste time playing this and Dark Souls. D:

Anyway I guess this is good. I figured they had given up on the game and thought it was funny that Fred Meyer was still selling copies at full price. Seems kinda late to start addressing such large amounts off issues though.
