Its a shame, because I thought Shattered Dimensions was rather good for a Spidey brawler. It was funny, had great voice acting, and enough variety to keep you coming back for more. This looks like the same game, minus most of the humor, the varied environments, the fun boss fights, and even the stealth is gone.

Shattered Dimensions biggest issue was the balls awful camera, especially when wall-crawling. WHen it's one os Spidey's most famous powers, you don't **** it up that bad.

I never played Shattered Dimensions because it didn't look impressive at all. I just watched a playthrough and it was indeed humorous.

At least we got Josh Keaton as Amazing Spider-Man in this game! That's pretty awesome. I just don't care about 2099 Spider-Man, would have preferred they use a different one.

Aaaand yeah, it is basically the same game as SD, it looks like. Which is another reason I wasn't too keen on getting Edge of Time.

The Captain America: The Movie game was surprisingly decent for an Arkham Asylum knock-off, but I wouldn't call it good.

It's the PS2 game that featured Ultimate Spider-Man. You pretty much played through chapters of the actual comic. And you switch between Spidey and Venom.

EDIT: I liked it, but Spider-Man 2 had better web-swinging. And Ultimate Spider-Man had too many chase sequences, which I HATE.

so of the 5 games listed, 2 are what you'd consider good, 2 are 'better than decent' (what's better than decent? good?), and 1 you haven't heard of.

sounds like 4 worthwhile games to me.

I've only played two of those five, but I know enough about the other three. I don't disagree with you that they're good games, but none of them reach the REALLY GOOD range like Arkham Asylum (and most likely Arkham City) does.

True. I suck at fighting games and don't really like them anyway. I'm still getting Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 because it's got some really damn awesome characters from both sides, and button mashing yields enough enjoyment to warrant a purchase.
