It happened between classes, so everyone was at their lockers or in the hallway switching classes. They announced that everyone was going to evacuate to the parking lots as soon as possible, and it was very serious.
Everyone started yelling and running and crap, it was really scary. I was still carrying my books because I never made it to my classroom and two huge doors at the end of the hallway automatically swung shut, so I turned around and went out through the band room.
After spending an hour in the freezing cold parking lot attempting to take attendance, everyone trekked up to the middle school, where we organized in homerooms to take attendance again. The middle school was an estimated 2000 feet away, and it was completely freezing.
In the end it turned out to just be a hoax set up by some random kid, like last year's. They caught the guy pretty quickly, and now his family has to pay thousands of dollars in fines for the fire department or something. We continued the school day normally once we got back xD
