Reviews are beyond irrelevant to whether or not a game is actually good.

Nintendo fans will defend and love ANYTHING that company does.

You didn't bring up gameplay or fun, which are literally the only relevant measures for how good a game is. Everything else is just window dressing.


i didn't mention these because fun is an entirely subjective experience that cannot be measured and if you're criticizing someone for having fun with super mario galaxy 2 because you think spinning the nunchuck is tantamount to kicking you in the testicles, that sounds like an issue with yourself rather than the smg2 fan

gameplay doesn't mean anything either because it's become too broad a term. "what's the gameplay like" could be a question asking about controls, physics, bugs, graphical limitations, or more. all of these could be described aptly in review, which we no longer tolerate in our gaming utopia.

I must say, I never really hate on motion controls but DKCR's waggle rolling and ground pounding just made no sense. It just didn't flow well with the rest of the game. If they were trying to go for the nostalgia factor they should have made Classic Controller an option.

well I mean the waggle controls are kind of indefensible! I think saying they ruin the game is going way overboard (game is still awesome) but if waggle was a button instead of a waggle the controls would've felt better. there have been better uses of the waggle in other Nintendo games.
