It would be completely irresponsible of Hussie to not release the flash at midnight, considering that every second it's "late" increases the odds of the entire Homestuck fanbase committing ritualistic suicide or something. On the other hand, maybe he wants to pull it out at an unexpected time to lighten the server load a little bit.

The flash itself is at 100% now, and that is making the wait until 10/25 harder. Hussie is going to try to make it compatible with more browsers in the meantime. I've been pretty good about waiting for new Homestuck updates until recently (like a fading addiction) but now I'm just as bad as I was before the hiatus. I guess the fact that it is coming so soon is getting to me.

Probably not. I wouldn't be surprised if he drew some more panels while waiting for 10/25. He did that for Past Karkat: Wake up. He couldn't upload the flash immediately so he started working on and posting the panels right after it before the flash itself (and put up a placeholder for the flash). Obviously if does that, he won't be posting the panels before the flash this time since it would either be an Act 5 epilogue like Act 4 had or Act 6 and both of those would immediately spoil what happens in the flash.
