Well there's a whole section of the DCU devoted to horror stories now, Animal Man being one of them.

JLD, Frankenstein, Resurrection Man, Animal Man, I Vampire, Swamp Thing, and Demon Knights.

I'm Batman is always cool. Green Lantern referring to himself in the third person throughout Justice League #1 stands out more as much sillier, call me crazy. Green Lantern's got this, folks.

I own the night, that's the point.

Really, Batman making over-the-top dramatic statements, and making film-noir-ish comments to himself is awesome. Hal is cocky, but the extent to which he called himself Green Lantern just didn't sound like believable speech to me, but hey call me crazy. Call me Batman.

But hey, this goes onto another thing, kinda like the quoting the Suicide Squad book and saying the dialogue is bad before the book is out. It's just meaningless. If Morrison wrote these exact sentences, they would be granted a much bigger grain of salt. He's written much worse dialogue in Batman Inc in my humble opinion.

I think creator following has kind of reached a plateau in comics that can be wacky. Call me crazy, but yeah, compare to filmmakers for example.

It's unlikely somebody would like every Speilberg movie, I personally think maybe 60% of his movies aren't good, and I love 40% of 'em. His name being on something doesn't really automatically make a win or lose to me.

Likewise, Johns on Aquaman, this doesn't mean much to me. I dig some Bendis (Powers), don't like some other Bendis. Same with Morrison, etc etc. But if they put out books, they're automatically the heralded books getting attention before they're out, and if lesser known guys who haven't made a success yet go for something a little different it's open season for hating.

Robert Kirkman is one of my tip-top favorite writers, I'm not automatically hyped when I see he has a new series out.

Long story short, this is all a sham folks, and it goes all the way up the ladder lemme tellya.

Just checked his twitter feed -- not sure how calmly explaining the issue and relaying as much information as he had to retailers and customers qualifies as FREAKING OUT, but good to know. Some places are getting it, so I'll just call mine when they open to make sure.

Also, Uncanny X-Force is out again? How did they get so far ahead? Are they trying to wrap up all their stories before Schism? I'm not complaining, the recent arc has been the best so far for this book, although the best single issue is still #4.

When I asked new reader Gavin if he understood who the main characters were in "Hawk And Dove," he responded, "If you mean the new Dove was in a relationship with the old Dove and the old Dove died and Hawk has a serious issue with women, then yes." That's a pretty decent summation of Hawk and Dove, so at least we know that this issue actually does explain everything you need to know about the duo. Gavin is one of the only new readers who was actively confused by the artwork, however. "Are they all Asian, or is that just how they're drawn?" he wanted to know, adding, "Which is fine, but I can't tell."

I love the bit about the artwork
