Wasn't one of the two styles great and the other one terrible? Never played it but that's what I always heard.

It had stealth missions that some haters didn't like. They were really quite fine and involved better puzzles than God of War ever did.

Never played this game. I wasn't a huge fan of GoW1. GoW2 is pretty awesome.

I won't deny that Shadow of Rome was fun. Hacking people to bits was fun. Throwing stuff into the crowd was fun. But those stealth missions were just ok.

God of War 1 was a lot of fun, and it didn't have those stealth missions. I didn't mind the Hades segments, and that took up less of the total play time than the stealth segments in SoR.

So GoW1 is better than Shadow of Rome.

Yeah, I loved Shadow of Rome too, but the stealth missions weren't too well-designed and I felt it was a bit more repetitive than GoW.


I enjoyed the hell out of both games, though. GoW just was a better experience for me.
