That's probably due to rallying. Some users on other boards are making a topic about the blank option which draws the attention of users who haven't or don't normally vote. These people are more likely to vote for the blank option than people who happen to find the poll from the front page.

I can't believe I'm actually doing this, but I'm tracking poll updates today, just to see if the blank poll option has any noticeable trends. But also so I can see when the poll mistakes are fixed, if they are ever fixed. With this poll being on a weekend, SBAllen might not notice the poll until after the poll ends.

I don't even track poll updates that often. During all of 2010, I only did trends for a total of 11 polls. Also, I have a good eye for spotting polls that could have interesting trends.

Luster would rather have polls about how old you are and what you call soda than actual video game polls.

Most video game polls are boring, unless it's a GotY poll, polls about your favorite character in certain video games or franchises, or polls about your favorite game in a video game franchise.
