You probably have a NAT 3 instead of a NAT 2. If that little NAT in the corner is red then you should go online and try to fix it so that it becomes yellow. You'll get a lot more matches. It won't fix any lag you might be having but it'll at least give you the option of finding more people.
Is that the color that shows up in the lower left hand corner when I'm searching for matches? It's usually green!
Well then s*** I don't know. Maybe try to make it weaker into a yellow? But mine is red and I usually have no problem finding a match. Sometimes it might take about 5 minutes but I still find them.
I think that's an improvement from where I was before? it's tough out there!

I might be too impatient, then! I never wait anywhere near 5 minutes. One other thing I've noticed though is that I find a lot of matches at night and none during the day. Either everyone near me is nocturnal or I'm playing a bunch of people from Asia, I guess. Alaska's kind of close to Asia!
man, it is not a good idea to spend 30 minutes in practice mode and then jump into an online match. it's like your controller is put underwater and everything is slow motion. damn you psn.
39-41, life is looking up. I found that the secret to success is "stop playing Ibuki online."
even got robbed of three wins because my internet does funky crap and disconnects me right after I win a match. so really I'm slightly above average! awesome.
I was taunted by far too many Chuns tonight. of course the only time Chun can get away with taunting is at the end of a round, so that's when those happened. Chun 3S players are the scum of the earth. beat most of them though!
Haven't run into too many Yuns lately. See lots of Chun, Shotos, Dudley, and Alex. wish ranked match people were more diverse with their character selection! I think I've seen one Twelve, two Ibukis, one Necro, one Remy, one Hugo, and a few Qs since I got the game.
oh Urien is fairly well-represented too. I may have seen one Elena besides me.
skill-wise I've seen the most from Alex and Urien players. Shotos are all over the place but mostly bad, Chuns do their thing that they do, and some of the Dudleys are okay. but there's some quite good Alex/Urien players who have bodied me.
of course as soon as I post that, I go on a massive losing streak
43-55, including 10 matches against one guy in that time span who kept playing Akuma and taunted at the end of every single round. I thought Canadians were supposed to be nice!
