Episode 1!

The theme song is so bad. I have to be honest, I considered turning it off during the theme. >_>
XD The chariot is great. I love how ticked off that the Pegasus’s look that are pulling Twilight Sparkle and that other pony that I didn’t catch his name.
Now there’s a bunch of apple stuff that appears, that was interesting. I have to admit although this certainly hasn’t been the most amazing of shows so far, it certainly is amusing.

It’s somewhat hard to have a decent write up, because I’m not catching their names. The Drop kicking rain clouds was pretty awesome though.
I’m somewhat confused as to what the point of meeting all of these characters is. I don’t really see what the point is other then what I assume is just character introduction.

I give the episode a 4/10 It was amusing enough I guess, but it certainly wasn’t great in any way. I feel like I would rather have watched Phineas and ferb if I had wanted to watch this sort of tv show. Not bad enough to stop watching right away though, I’ll give it a couple more episodes to see what the fuss is about.

Personally it took about 6 or 7 episodes for me to really get into it. Before that I was just watching it because of the fad.

I want to know how all of the ponies magically became friends with twilight sparkle. Didn’t she just meet these people yesterday?

Whoever is in charge of drawing faces is awesome. The manticore’s face is almost as awesome as the faces of all of the other ponies.

It's not that the first two episodes are bad, it's just that they are intro so they move very fast, and this is a show that needs some time to simmer before you really start liking it.

I'm really deep into the show now but I only really started liking it at like episode 14

By the way I hate spike so far, easily worse than all the other ponies.

You know, I’ve never been a great episode write upper. Twilight Sparkle got 2 tickets to go to the galla, and obviously there is going to be a giant battle between the friendship.



Apple Jacks replacing the granny smith’s saggy old hip joke was hilarious. Rainbow’s not so much.

Pinky is gaining points. Her annoyance has subsided.

Rarity: “He would ask for my hand in marriage, and I would say YES!” XD

This episode is certainly better than the previous two. Hmmm the episodes have kept getting better each time.

Episode 4!

Apple Jack talks about how she is going to harvest an entire field worth of apples all by herself. Which is kind of ridiculous. And not very entertaining.

Sleep deprived Apple Jack is somewhat amusing. I’m not feeling this episode as much as the last one though. Sleep deprived Apple jack epic fails in the baking with Pinky, leading to a hilarious hospital scene.

Eventually Apple Jack accepts help. And the friendship is there to help!

This show is really cliché >_>

This topic inspired me to watch the first episode - I'd seen short clips before, but never a full episode. Positive points:

- I like the drawing style. Couldn't stand it at first, but I guess I've gotten used to it now.
- I chuckled a few times.

Nothing to write home about, but it has the potential to become good. I'll definitely watch a couple more episodes.

Ok, whoever said that the intro would grow on me was completely right. This is so addictive.

Also this looks like a Pinky episode. Should be good.

I remember when I first watched MLP FiM... I had quite mixed feelings at first. But I started loving it very quickly. I ended up watching the first eight episodes the first day. Can't wait for season 2. :D

And for anecdotes about getting into the show, I admittedly flew into it already knowing that I'd probably love it. The first two episodes were good enough to complete affirm what I already expected. Then I guess my expectations were exceeded.

Well her voice was cute (at least I thought it was... especially how she said 'neighsayers' >_>) and I guess her pompous attitude could be seen as endearing to some. And peoples' imaginations run wild creating extenuating circumstances that would lead to her acting that way and portraying her as not a truly insufferable pony. Basically in a lot of senses they become a fan-made character in the skin of a canon character.

She's not really the most surprising character from the show to get fanfics written.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who disliked Boast Busters. Terrible episode. Things get much better from here on out - I actually don't like any of the first six episodes that much aside from Ticket Master, but starting from episode 7 or so things get good I think.

Episode 7: Dragon Shy

Fluttershy sees a giant cloud of smoke that’s making her rabbit choke. And nobody is paying attention to her.

And it’s coming from a dragon! A sleeping dragon.


Rainbow Dash is ready to kick dragon trash


Pure Awesome

Unsurprisingly, Flutter Shy is amazingly afraid of everything and is slowing all the ponies down in their quest to get to the dragon. She then starts an avalanche. Smooth Flutter Shy

Flutter Shy is starting to reach critical levels of annoying here. She’s totally bombing the episode all by herself. Great.


Pinky to the rescue!

Contrary to caption on the picture, Pinky didn’t do anything. But she did rescue the episode. Flutter Shy eventually gets all pissed and scolds the dragon. Which is …. Interesting. Kind of an abrupt personality change. But I guess I can roll with it.


Rating: 6.5/10 Flutter Shy did her best to bomb the episode, and it probably would have been an easy 8 if it hadn’t been for the annoyingness of Flutter Shy bogging down the episode. Still solid enough though.
