I hear DQX is gonna be like DQ8. Lets hope they leave motion controls out of it though!

DQ8 was great but I wouldn't mind if the next DQ was different from it, as long as it's not like DQ9.

But all you really needed from DQ is great overworld music and a turn based battle system and it's guaranteed to be good.

Trick choices because the second set has identical styles, the third set is comparing an action game with no plot to an ARPG, and the first set has a game with a broken plot and another with a bad plot compared to one that had a full, finished development cycle.

I don't think DQ10 needs to do much to its battle system. I think speeding it up, and removing random encounters, would be enough of a change that I'd be satisfied. Turn-based battles are great in DQ.

DQ8 or DQ9 - hard to pick. I enjoyed DQ8 more, but I played DQ9 twice as long (almost 200 hours)
