I'm bored, and I saw someone mention that a Pokemon Stadium 3 would be a good idea because of the mingames, so I decided to make this.

The Pokemon Stadium 2 mingames are considered by many to be better than most of the stuff in the Mario Party games. They are insanely fun and are probably the reason why I like the game so much. Mini game championship never gets old!

Now let's start this!

12. Gutsy Golbat

This is, without a doubt, the weakest mini-game in the lineup, and probably the only one that I really hate. It's all luck. There's no guaranteed way to hit someone and knock out their hearts, meaning that most of the time you're just rapidly pressing a and ramming into people, most likely getting yourself electrocuted in the process and losing all of your hearts. You can't play conservatively either, because then when you get all those hearts people will just charge you.

Whenever I play this game with my cousins, we all complain and get annoyed when someone wins by luck. Half the time we don't even know we are winning until the very end. Terrible.

11. Pichu's Power Plant

A button masher. This usually means that it's another one of those games that people don't like, but not necessarily because it's bad. It's because there's usually one or two people who are better than the rest, and means that in mini-game championship it's an automatic block/snatch/coin gain. Plus, Pichu's Power Plant isn't original at all (it's a rip-off of that pikachu and voltorb game in stadium one) and only lasts ten seconds. I don't really hate it because unlike Gutsy Golbat it actually requires some sort of skill, but I wouldn't really call it good. Just average.

I'm probably a bit biased because my cousins can never beat me at it, but it probably wouldn't be that much higher anyways.

I hated Gutsy Golbat. I could never win that damn game. The only other game that gave me trouble on any even somewhat comparable level was Rampage Rollout, and that one was at least fun still.

10. Barrier Ball



Now we are getting to the point where the games start to get somewhat decent, and I'll admit that ranking the games from here on out is much more difficult. Barrier Ball is basically pong for 4 players. It's fun, but I always thought it was a bit too oriented towards defense. All you need to do is make sure that the ball doesn't go into your goal and you will probably win, unless someone gets lucky and gets a bunch of goals off of a bad player. Multiple balls can appear at once if nobody scores for about five seconds, but it's still fairly simple. And like I said before, sometimes you can win by luck if a bunch of goals get into a bad player's goal. Overall, however, it isn't that bad.

9. Rampage Rollout



Another fun little game, this time being a sort of racing game involving Donphan. I like how you get more tornadoes as you get closer to last place, since the person in first place will need it more since everybody is behind him, but the person in last can't use it as well because there is nobody behind him, which helps balance the game. Dodging tornadoes is crucial to winning; one slip-up and you might lose. However, I think that getting in first right away can sometimes be too important towards winning (assuming you don't get hit by tornadoes), and sometimes it is hard to tell whether you are going to hit a tornado or not. Plus, usually there's a big gap between first and second, so it's a bit anti-climactic when positions switch just because the leader got hit by a tornado.

It's still a fun game though, and the final lap is usually quite intense. Again, not bad.

The Delibird game was top tier.

Nothing more satisfying than seeing my friends reaction when instead of waiting for a huge combo he just stacked up on items back and forth.

Than I go down there with 3 rings and 2 pianos. Bam win.

Counting game is top tier. But you have to play this game on what I call "top percent"

8. Topsy Turvy



8-10 were tough to rank. After some thinking I knew Barrier Ball would be last, but choosing between this and Rampage Rollout was much more difficult. Eventually, I decided on Topsy Turvy because unlike Rampage Rollout, all the players are in the same area and not in a race where everyone can be farther apart, leading to more multiplayer fun.

You basically have to knockout the other hitmontops five times before time runs out. Like Barrier Ball and Rampage Rollout, it's fun, but it has its flaws. Sometimes the game can be difficult to control and you really need to line up your hits in order to knock anybody out. Plus, if you hit somebody and they bounce off someone else, the knock-out goes towards the guy who the hitmontop bounced off of, and not you. However, the game more than makes up for this by always keeping you on the edge of your seat. The games are usually very close and anything can happen. This helps Topsy Turvy stay nice and refreshing after many games. Another fun game.

7. Tumbling Togepi



Wow, I never knew Omanyte made those chirping sounds...

Anyways, now we are at the point where the games are very good. Tumbling Togepi is like Run Rattata Run from Pokemon Stadium 1 but you don't really do jumping and can move Togepi from left to right. You also have to go over speed boosts and dodge obstacles in order to win. It's a great test of skill since you need good reflexes to hit every speed boost and avoid everything that gets in your way. Very fun, but the game's also very short, lasting only about 40 seconds tops, and even that might be pushing it. Still, Tumbling Togepi is a very good game.

6. Egg Emergency



Now I consider this and the next game to be very close to each other, but more on that later. Anyways, Egg Emergency is always a ton of fun because although collecting the eggs is simple, the game is a great challenge. It's just so fun getting a bunch of eggs and voltorbs at once and then carefully trying to get every last egg without hitting a voltorb. Sometimes it can be a bit easy at times (even if you pick, say, normal, sometimes the game is harder than other times), but that doesn't change the fact that egg emergency is a great game.

I had a friend who routinely scored 0, preferring instead to block as many people as possible from reaching the top of the screen. Rage.

5. Streaming Stampede



Now the reason why this and Egg Emergency are close is because they are both fun games to play with other people but they also have a score that tops at 100, so I can't use that to determine which is better. Therefore I had to pick the game that was more fun overall. I chose Streaming Stampede.

Streaming Stampede is best played with other players. The game itself isn't what makes it so high on this list. It's the social aspect of it, combined with the hilarity of the game itself, that make it a top 5 game. The computers acting like idiots never gets old, and it's always fun to "predict" what will happen before hand and input all of your button presses before the actual pokemon start coming. The nature of the game allows for several different combinations of gameplay that keep Streaming Stampede nice and fresh. It's, quite literally, a party game.
