This topic has inspired me to start a new playthrough ...devoted to Triple Triad. Aww yeah. On my way to Timber and already have Ifrit, Mini Mog, Quistis, Zell, Diablos, and Seifer, as well as nearly every level 1-5 card and a slew of level 6-7s.

How would I make a knowledgeable joke when I know so little about ff8 I literally thought Rinoa was like Yuna in personality until I started this playthrough?

Oh man you just reminded me of why I never played FFX. I bought it like 8 or 9 years ago planning to play it over summer vacation. Then I saw that picture on the back of the manual or whatever where Yuna's crying (this one: http://projectnailbat.files.wordpress.com/2011/09/ffx-566x418.png) and she really looks like Rinoa there and I was like NOT THIS **** AGAIN and put it on the shelf forever.

I think the point is that he hates Rinoa so much that seeing a character who even resembles her makes him not want to play the game.

Which is silly, because Rinoa's not nearly as bad as people make her out to be.

But no, Rinoa never cries in the game, as far as in cutscenes or anything.

I thought I saw Rinoa cry tears of joy in the Ragnorak when "Eyes on Me" was playing, I'm not exactly sure, but your right that she for sure never cries in the game because she is sad.
