Chill penguin is always the Maverick I take care of first. For some reason I find him the easiest

I always do him first just because of the dash, on top of being an easy flawless.

Anyway, I only have a couple of Mavericks left in X3. Sorry for taking my sweet time with this one but, y'know, life stuff. Plus I do like to play games pretty slowly anyway. But uhh.

Toxic Seahorse got Thunderbolt OHKO'd, Tunnel Rhino got caved and... I actually died against Blast Hornet. So I'm going to squish the other bug first since I'm assuming he's got the weakness. Dem regular-sized hornets were obliterating me. First Maverick I've had any real difficulty with too!

Along the way I ran into Vile, Bit and Byte. I already knew Vile would show up again but let's be frank, spoilers in this series don't really... spoil much. So I found him easier while he was in his Ride Armor, which is rather ironic since that's what made him invincible in the first game. When he climbed out he was kind of obnoxious but I scrolled about for weaknesses and found one -- Ray Splash.

He's going to haunt X until the day he dies, which I find rather sweet and romantic. ya go my slash fiction

Bit and Byte were bleh and b****, respectively. Bit was a no-brainer but Byte actually cost me a life. Big tough guy he was, he kept spinning some magnet around and sucking me into him. Ended up plowing through him once I figured out the pattern.

I also bumped into a bunch of Heart Tanks, Sub Tanks and even a Ride Armor. Unfortunately it seemed completely useless where I was (Blast Hornet's stage) but apparently I can now summon it whenever!

Yeah IIRC I found Hornet the best of the mavericks too. Also had the same experience of "Byte is hard oh wait THAT's how you deal with the magnet, okay he's easy now".

One thing I disliked about X3 is how much the X buster got toned down. Rapid fire shots are better off taking out most of the regular enemies than taking time to fire charged up buster shots.

I finally got all the heat tanks. The tank in Storm Eagle's stage seems obvious in hindsight, but took me forever to find. Now to face Sigma.

Finding Bit easy and Byte tough is "what". Byte is a total joke and Bit actually requires some timing and precision to avoid all the **** he starts filling the screen with.

Mistake you're making - overlooking the fact that we might not want to be saved.

Nope, Bit was a total cinch for me. Maybe it's a matter of having that timing and precision down pat but feeling overly threatened by the magnet.

I've seen it before. In the Mega Man franchise especially different people are much better at particular bosses than their peers.
