Especially fun in Civ V because this is really easy to do, as the AI is terrible at taking cities.

I had four civs declare war on me toward the end of the game after I had built the Apollo Program, knowing that I was going to win the game otherwise. Took out all four of their armies!

I like to make Isabella mad at me because she's all self-righteous and what-at, right? So then I self-righteously kill her.

Know what I love in earlier Civ games?

Choke points.

When you have three guys declare on you, and you have a huge stack trying to attack you but it has to wait behind the three unit enemy stack still trying to assault your fortified units.

Well Civ 5 has even better choke points.

I mean, if the intention was just to survive, I would've been fine in that game because mountains shielded half my lands

Yep. On Emperor and above, from what I've noticed, the AI seems to better understand the meaning of certain developments -- United Nations, Apollo Program, Policy Completion -- and will go all out to stop you, regardless of how strong you may be. Always nice hearing 'It is impossible for me to defeat you, but I must try'!
