I don't know what everyone else is nominating based upon but I went with the stereotypical decent looks -- but coupled that with characters that have at least decent personalities and development whenever possible. So I have FFT's Agrias for example and I sort of doubt very many people think "oh yeah, what a hottie she was" but she's an awesome person to make up for it.
