how do people figuer the Packers well just repeat no team has done that in a while

There's no real reason for anyone to suspect they're gonna be worse. They had a lot of injuries last year, which *knocks on wood* they won't have this year, along with a top 3 QB (especially if Peyton doesn't play as well because of his neck thing and/or Vick gets injured like he's bound to do the way he plays), arguably the best LB in the league, a damn good defense, and one of the best WR corps as well.

Hell, if I wasn't worried about our special teams (bringing new meaning to the word "special"), I'd make it a guarantee right now. Though the Eagles are looking mighty good. Wouldn't be surprised if Eagles/Packers was the NFCCG. The AFCCG will probably be some combination of Pats/Ravens/Steelers/Jets

Not like we didn't already know this but Tebow is a legit idiot.

"I'm trying to insulate myself from what people in the media are saying, but I've seen some of it, and it hurts because it's coming from people who haven't seen me practice, haven't seen me play, haven't seen what I can do..."

It hurts because it's coming from people who haven't seen him play/practice?
First of all, I think most people who like football have seen him play in some regard, so he's an asshead for basically lying and saying that these people have NEVER seen him play and thus they're wrong.

Secondly, if someone who had actually never seen him play said this... how the *** does it hurt him? Is he that insecure? If someone who hasn't seen some player play/practice... then that commenter is just ignorant, for making an opinion based on something they no nothing about. So... why would a comment from these people HURT him? Wouldn't it hurt a lot more if the comments were coming from people who saw him play and THEN decided he sucked since then there's proof?

Tebow just making manufactured drama/being a *****.

I imagine quotes from people who see him play would hurt less because they would be more legitimate. I mean, would you feel worse if you wrote a book and a bunch of critics read it and didn't like it, or if you wrote a book and all the critics dismissed it without reading it?

jumping routes with good safeties is fine. that's what Samuel did in NE for the most part - on plays where the safety is supposed to read over to help his side, he'd take the risk. He couldn't tackle and that was the big knock on his time up here.

Ike Taylor has the physical gifts in his size and he also benefits from having one of the best pass rushers and safetys in the league. Asante Samuel has elite cornerback skills. The guy is an absolute animal. We are going to find out for sure this year because there is one guarantee: NO ONE THROWS ON NNAMDI ASOMUGHA

If you guys are going to be in the NFL discussion you must learn one very important thing: never take biased new york fans seriously. They like to troll and are extremely self assured for reasons unknown. The Raiders were so confident in Nnamdi that they would send safety help to the other side even when there were 2 wideouts on his side. This team swept the division because they gave teams 2 options: throw into crowded space, throw at Nnamdi. Teams chose throw into crowded space. If the raiders run defense wasn't a total joke they would've finished with double digit wins.

In football terms the Raiders played a hybrid Cover 1. Everyone mans up and safety slides to the most threatening side. That's normal Cover 1. For the raiders it involved the safety always sliding away from Nnamdi, the linebacker on his side sliding into the flats and Nnamdi covering literally everything else. East Coast guys who've never seen a Raiders game are really clueless just how good he is. It's unreal.

but if revis and asomugha were on the field together something would have to give and teams would have to throw at someone. that someone would be asomugha because revis is better.

It's no doubt Revis and Nnamdi are the top two corners in the league. While in Oakland, Nnamdi got thrown on less than Revis, but that is mostly due to the fact that Nnamdi lined up predominately on the right side, while Revis almost always lines up against the number 1 wr of the other team. Teams are going to throw at Revis more because he is covering their number 1 wr. Revis either forces teams to throw at him or avoid their elite wr, while Nnamdi only does that half of the time.

The versatility of Revis is what makes him better. Than and he is four years younger than Nnamdi.

Well if you think you did the best possible job you possibly could and someone told you that it wasn't good... well I think that can be hurtful. It's like when you study your ass off for a test, do everything you can, prep for weeks and you fail. And you know why/understand what you got wrong, but it doesn't make you feel any better/less hurt. More hurtful than say... teacher giving you an F on your final report with the comment "I didn't read this". I wouldn't be hurt then... I'd just be like... "the hell?"

Also Prince - yeah sucks, lol giants, hopefully it doesn't set him back far and maybe he's a fast mender <_<

Please, "new york jets", don't group us with those guys. I know we're going to suck this year but we'll still go 8-8 or 9-7 (4/4 likely 'free' wins from the NFC West, 2/4 from the AFC East, 2 from the Redskins, and then 0-1 from the Cowboys. ). Missing playoffs.

Obviously Ryan is doing good at coaching because he got his team that far. Bad coaches can't do that. But clearly he isn't 100% focused on coaching because of all his media BS stuff. Put that aside and he'd be even better, perhaps take his team to the super bowl or even win it.

Here's something people need to understand: the Steelers and Patriots were both more talented, better teams than the Jets. The Jets won or were close in those games with superior coaching. Ryan stays in the media because it keeps the media off his players. He's one of the 3 best coaches in the NFL.

Like I said, Asomugha and Revis each have their own ridiculous strengths.

Where Nnamdi shines is against teams like the Colts who could care less about one WR in their crossing pattern schemes of Deep Ins and All Verticals. Shutting down one side of Peyton's field is huge.

Revis shines against teams that NEED one wide out to command double teams to open up the field: The Texans, the Cowboys, etc.
