Its like people forget Plaxico has a problem with drops as well.

It's a matter of when those drops happen, and Braylon's seemed to happen at inopportune times, so they stand out.

I'd still rather take the 28 year old, who hasn't really had any drop problems with Jets, over the soon to be 34 year who just spent about two years in prison.

And yet literally every sane person will take Andre Johnson over Braylon Edwards.

Andre Johnson has been a part of one winning team in his entire 8 year career. That team went 9-7.

He's also never had a double digit TD season believe it or not. Braylon had a 16 TD season in 2007. Twice as many as AJ's career high.

And both guys went #3 in the draft IIRC so the talent is there.

Burress was never a great receiver, but there had been talk in Philly about trying to sign him. The way things have been the last few weeks with the silly moves on both the Eagles and the Phillies, (Vince Young??,) I wouldn't have minded. The Eagles suffered offensively mostly inside the 20s, so a telephone pole that can run fade routes would be a blessing, even if he was only in for 4 snaps a game.

Then again, I suppose it wouldn't be fair to sign two players away from the Jets. ^_^

Literally every game of his career where the Jets had to finish a drive to come back and tie/win, The Sanchise has been successful. He is the Robert Horry of QBs
