Two exciting matches yesterday ended with upsets. I'm especially surprised by LucasArts' victory. Gaddswell's vote was just a few minutes late, and it would have tied that match.

Yeah Midway was a pretty easy pick for me, their gaming library is just way too vast with several well known games, especially MK. I could not believe that baiscally Blazblue and Guilty Gear could beat them.

Tri Ace/Lucas arts were harder since they make jrgs. I mean, yeah one of the series has a god awful game in Star Ocean 3, but I was banking on people remembering Lucas Arts put a few greats like jedi power battles and rogue squadron.

I most likely won't be online until tomorrow. There will also most likely be a break in the contest from Wednesday on, as I likely won't have online access for ~10 days, so I might as well just not start Round 2 until I'm back.

Sounds good. So far this has been an interesting contest. I kinda wish I took the bracket thing a bit more seriously but sitting comfortably squarely in the center of the entries (well, sort of, you know what I mean) doesn't feel too bad.

Eh, who cares. It's not like there's a prize... I was a bit hesitant whether to allow predictions because they might influence predictors' votes, but, at the end, I did it for old times' sake. Hadn't messed around with Bracketmaker in a while. By the way, in the really remote off-chance Nintendo doesn't win, you'll win it all easily, as Square is the other company that could possibly win on this board.

Some R2 picks that are different from the top guys.
The Rare/SEGA match-up seems to be the most debated. Though all the higher points guys took SEGA and all us in the lower half took Rare.

I'll start the second round already tomorrow. I think I'll have internet access in that period after all, and I can surely dedicate a little time every day to count the results and post new matches. If it turns out that's not the case after all, we'll just resume the second round later with 2 matches already done.

Oh wow I got the first vote in for Game Arts.

But well, it's Brawl and the Lunar series vs. GTA. I would rather support the company that made a game I really enjoy and a series that I see myself going to sooner than I see myself going to GTA.

No I have not played GTA, and that's more or less why I voted for Game Arts - since they not only made Brawl (which is almost an all-time favorite of mine), but I'm more interested in the Lunar series than I am in anything from Rockstar.

Interesting, I'm actually guaranteed second place if Atlus's matches go the way I plan, which is backed up by the fact that the current #1 agrees with me.
