It shows that Andel's wrong that LeBron always passes the buck on the big time shots, at the very least, when James has 4 times as many attempts as Wade.

And you do realize that not very many people are going to have a high percentage of those shots made, right?

Lebron also loses shooting contests to random construction workers and high school kids, Lebron isn't an amazing player because he's good at shooting and the sooner he realizes that the sooner he might actually win a championship.

The fact that you think those percentages being under .500 is somehow terrible means you don't know much about basketball.

EDIT: Besides, the topic at hand was that Andel was talking about LeBron never doing well in the final minutes, always dumping the ball off, etc., and even saying Wade was a far superior play-off player. He was proving that wrong, so there's really no room for argument, there.

how many are kobe and mj known for making?

It is well documented that Kobe is a poor clutch player if you go by percentage of shots made. Yeah, we all have memories of him hitting a bunch but that's because it takes a lot of them. Statistically Dirk, Nash, Carmelo, and others are all much better in the clutch than Kobe is. I haven't checked in a while, but IIRC so is Lebron!

Those stats about LeBron closing vs Wade closing dont mean ****. Show us 1 of them THIS SEASON only, becuz thats whats relevant. LeBron took his choking to a whole new level this season and everyone who followed basketball AT ALL knows it. He was actually a clutch player before this season. ESPN is obsessed with LeBron yet even they were showing weekly stats of how bad LeBron was choking every time he disappeared another 4th quarter or bricked another clutch shot. LeBron disappeared every ****ing 4th quarter in the finals. It was embarrassing. I was embarrassed for him for how bad he played, being that Ive supported him and believed he was the best player in the league even through all the fire he went under over the course of the last year. But LeBrons performance in the finals was just unacceptable. The best player in the world doesnt consistently disappear entirely during crunch time in every game of a 6 game finals series. 1 maybe 2 times would be excusable. By my memory he had only 1 4th quarter that was even mildly acceptable in the entire series. Meanwhile D-Wade was consistently playing his ass off. And also clutch doesnt just mean shooting. D-Wade had plenty of clutch defensive plays, I can remember a game this post-season where he had 2 HUGE blocks in the final minute of the game. He also plays the passing lanes extremely well and comes up with big steals in the clutch. And he was creating opportunities for his teammates. LeBron wasnt doing jack **** on the biggest stage of his career, where if you remember he got absolutely handled by the Spurs in 07 in the most lop-sided finals in NBA history where Wade CARRIED his team back from an 0-2 hole on the same stage just 1 year before. In the finals LeBron is a proven absolute choker and D-Wade is proven as possibly the best finals performer in the league right now. So yes, LeBron's choke job these finals was pretty epic.

Did you read Andel's argument? They do in the context of this discussion.

Yeah, he had a pretty poor Finals performance.

It was embarrassing. I was embarrassed for him for how bad he played, being that Ive supported him and believed he was the best player in the league even through all the fire he went under over the course of the last year. But LeBrons performance in the finals was just unacceptable.

Alright, you've made your point.

The best player in the world doesnt consistently disappear entirely during crunch time in every game of a 6 game finals series. 1 maybe 2 times would be excusable. Awesome. Way to repeat yourself three times in a row with a poorly-written, poorly-spaced post that conveyed no relevant, new information. Yes, Wade played better during the Finals. Yes, Lebron underperformed. No, that does not mean Lebron's choking was "legendary," nor does it dismiss his superior performance to Wade throughout his postseason career at the clutch. Try to keep up.

You want to see a fun fact? Try Kobe's fourth quarter Finals averages vs. Lebron:

Kobe:
7.1ppg
38.6% shooting
1.1 apg
11.1 mpg

Lebron:
5.6 ppg
38.3%shooting
2.1 apg
11.7 mpg

I like how people pointing out how he's the "biggest choker in history" have to keep repeating the same thing over and over and over about THIS season's finals, completely ignoring past seasons or averages and simply going "lol that's not relevant."

Here's a key hint why: It's because they have no other argument.

And no, Shawn. That is NOT the only argument I need.

From what ive seen youve been trying to defend LeBrons choking and dismiss the fact that this choking was epic. Early in the topic you were trying to argue that LeBron didnt even really choke at all. Also, LeBron may be a better closer, but this topic was about closing in the finals, where LeBron has choked majorly twice and Wade has put Miami on his back twice. Conclusively, LeBron is a proven choker of epic proportions on the biggest stage and his teammate makes it even worse for him by being one of the best finals performers weve seen despite being the supposed "side-kick" most of the season.

He definitely underperformed. Then again, he also had some pretty great game totals, including a triple-double in there somewhere. It's on the lower end of Bron's performances, but still mixed; there are bright spots.

Literally from the first post:

"He is the biggest choker in my lifetime in any sport."

That's what I'm responding to. You want to say Lebron disappointed during the Finals? Yeah, I agree.

Hes certainly up there right now as 1 of the all-time chokers. All of America knows him for it for a reason. I mean, his performance certainly lands closer to "the greatest choker in my lifetime" than simply "LeBron disappointed during the finals" is all Im saying.

Gee, I wonder why? Maybe because the Heat/Mavs finals just happened? People's memories are short-sighted and reactionary.

I mean, his performance certainly lands closer to "the greatest choker in my lifetime" than simply "LeBron disappointed during the finals" is all Im saying.

Lebron was still the second-best player on the Heat. He still had solid full-game totals. Most analysts agree that he was a consistently excellent playmaker, even in the fourth quarter. It's just ignorant to ignore the rest of his Playoff performance, hand-waive his intangibles, and only focus on fourth-quarter offensive performance to declare him some massive choker.

The bottom line is that Andel doesn't know what he's talking about. We can agree with that, yes?

It doesn't.

"Greatest choker in your lifetime" is someone who actively bungles the championship away as opposed to someone who just...doesn't really even try to take over the game when it matters, which is what LeBron did. There's not a standout "Man LeBron really choked right there and cost the Heat the game" play from the 2011 Finals. He just gets slammed because he didn't play up to his potential, and that much is fair.

Greatest choker in my lifetime is something only MWC should be claiming, and nobody takes his opinions on LeBron seriously for a reason.
