Okay, so, I've been dying to play a Fire Emblem game, but I've played the good ones a bunch already. So, to keep things interesting, I've decided to let the good folks here decide which game I'll play, and what my team will be!
The choices for game are 6, 7 or 8 (I have 9 too, but I just recently played that).
First to 3 votes decides the game! then, after that, you guys can start naming characters to use in my team. I'm not entirely sure how I'll do this, if enough people are posting it could be another first to whatever thing, otherwise I may just say each poster chooses one character. I think a decent number is like, 11 characters as a team? Maybe one of the FE experts can help me here. But, depending on the game, there will be 1-3 characters I'm forced to use, so that limits the suggestions.
I'll make this topic as much of a playthrough topic as I can be arsed to (which should be pretty easy for fire emblem).
Scratch that, I vote for 8. I've followed enough playthroughs of 7 (and a fair few of 6) for it to be the fresher option.
And
The number of people per team depends on the game kind of. And whether you're playing the higher difficulties, since in 7 especially that cuts down how many people you can consistently field.

theres a list of the playable characters (barring some special characters like the necromancer)
so, I'll say (As of now), one character per user, until it runs out of steam, then I'll let people double up.
list away! oh, and if you nominate one of the recruits, tell me which promotion path I should take with them. Actually, do this for any unit that can promote into multiple things
oh, and it's probably obvious, but I'll be using other characters that you might not have suggested, but only until the suggested characters show up. and I'll focus on giving the suggested team members the most use until everyone's there.
I'm tempted to anti-nominate Seth unless you plan on showing off just how badly he breaks the game <_<
Use Ross, promote to Pirate and then to Berserker. He's not very good overall but I have a soft spot for him from a playthrough where he hit 20 strength only one level shy of the lowest he can possibly do it. And he's perfectly usable in a casual run.

the point of this was kind of to give me a challenge, since I figured people would be nominating all the worst characters. I think I will play 6 instead, for that reason. unless anyone has any major qualms with that >_>
Still though I played a no restart run of FE8 on hard mode with no experience with the game and lost only one unit. (Well I got game over once when Eirika died to a fluke instant kill from Valter but yeah) Game's pretty easy on the whole.

I'm a lover of myrmidons in general, really. There's not one I've met that I don't like. Just so happens that Rutger and Joshua are more popular than Fir and Marisa so I went with my indie cred.
Except maybe Karla but that's cause I've never actually bothered to use her much because most games I don't even get her (lol Bartre)
Also Sophia isn't that bad if you can get her to level 10 or so.
