it's been a long time since he's given any match on american soil 5 stars...the last time was either joe vs. kobashi or joe vs. aj vs. daniels. i assume it was probably the latter since i think joe had finished up with ROH by then. either way it's almost 6 years i think.
Zack's dad is a bodybuilder. He is STILL a bodybuilder. Oh my god. Tommy Dreamer is the one who got Ryder on WWE? That...explains Dreamer's final match on raw. Also Edge doesn't like to be called bro. He bonded with Big O over boybands. Also Cobana and Ryder are hinting that Ryder will...be doing something?
From: Haguile | #156 Tommy Dreamer is the one who got Ryder on WWE? That...explains Dreamer's final match on raw.
Ryder and Hawkins were trained by Mikey Whipwreck, who received training from Dreamer. Dreamer probably did a bit for them as well, or at the very least Whipwreck relayed Dreamer's knowledge and passed their names along to him.
Does anyone know what is being said in the background after CM Punk shows up? Something is being said and the reply is "We can't talk about that". Now I'm curious as to what it was. (happens around 33minutes)

- WWE is looking to hire someone with a sports background to groom for working in talent relations. There is lots of talk within WWE about John Laurinaitis and his long-term future with the company. It's no secret that Triple H isn't a fan of Laurinaitis and Laurinaitis has always been compared in a negative way to Jim Ross when it comes to talent relations. It was discussed after Money in the Bank that Laurinaitis may be established as a new TV character, similar to how Patterson and Brisco were to Vince McMahon years ago.
FacePalmer posted... wow meltzer actually gave it 5 stars?

With Undertaker and Goldust's futures in question, this means that the only person on the active WWE roster who has ever put on a Meltzer-certified ***** match is...
John Cena.
YOU CAN'T WRESTLE

Thank you, Eddie Guerrero. http://img.imgcake.com/Icon/Punkjpguh.jpg
something I've always found interesting is how adamant Meltzer is that in their primes HBK and Hart were never the best wrestlers in the world, only north america.
Thank you Colt Cabana for letting me know that there is a pro wrestling thing happening near me tomorrow. Might have to check this out and see if I can meet JR and Colt.
Due to circumstances beyond my control, three matches of tomorrow's Bash at the Beach event are not going to be seen in their entirety. These matches are:

JaKyL25 posted... Now, vacancies in and of themselves aren't always too big of an issue, if the vacancy is filled in a logical and decisive manner. Let's look at the WWE Championship vacancies to see how a real belt does it.
i want to talk title history so im going back to this.
1.) Andre wins the title from Hogan in dubious fashion thanks to Twin Magic, tries to sell belt, Jack Tunney declares title vacant. VACANCY FILLED BY: 14-man tournament featuring all the top guys in the company, with Hogan and Andre each given a 1st-round bye. Decisive Champion is crowned.
this is mostly true but i thinkhogans invovement cheapened savages whole run.
2.) Undertaker and Hogan trade the belt in matches with controversial finishes, Tunney declares the title vacant. VACANCY FILLED BY: 1992 Royal Rumble with Hogan and Taker given preferential draws. A little shaky but still moderately fair. Flair definitely earned it.
except did he? I mean yeah he lasted a REALLY long time but its pretty arguable that him needing hogans help to trundle over Sid hurts it.
3.) Shawn Michaels forfeits title in cowardly fashion due to a misplaced grin. VACANCY FILLED BY: Previously scheduled Final Four match featuring four of the top five challengers, with the other (Sid) given a title shot against the winner the next night on Raw. The lack of Sid in the Final Four match casts doubt on the credibility of Bret's reign as a result, but since Sid won it the next day, in the end the credibility was restored.
I wonder about this too. does sid retain against michaels? if not i dont really buy his reign being too legitimate eitherm

You have to buy Sid's reign as legitimate IMO, since it was Shawn's OWN CHOICE to not defend it. It's not like he was out there as an uncrowned Champion. He declared HIMSELF to no longer be Champion.
As far as Flair goes, hey, everything's legal in the Rumble. The only shaky part is the idea that beating someone in a Battle Royal-style match means you're better than they are. But still, the top 30 guys in WWE (aside from Bret who was out at the time) got their chance to win the title, and Flair won.
If, say, Hogan or Undertaker was for some reason removed from the Rumble, then there would be true doubt cast on Flair's reign.

Hey i even love Sid, but i think the whole trouble with the situation is that michaels vacates for next to no reason and then comes back after a short period, without sid ever beating michaels i feel like no reign between michaels 2 count.

You know, I think WWE may be beginning to help Ryder produce his show. Considering the cam quality in the first segment and the fact Ryder is jobbing on his own show.
