Played through both games recently, and while Trigger continues to grow on me with each play cycle, it's still not nearly as fun for me as Cross (which is to say, best-ever fun!). That said, while I prefer CC's plot, its presentation is lacking. Too much key information is withheld and teased, and I don't need to get into the infamous Disc 2 plot dump (which, to be fair, is characteristic of RPGs in that era). Though simple, the story of CT has some pretty remarkable pacing that I'd probably praise as highly as many books, which, needless to say, are typically far superior at the whole "storytelling" thing.
So I guess this topic is less about the confirm/deny and more about talking about the wonderful Chrono series. also ulti bait
