apparently it takes ten times as long to port an NES game over in 3D than it does to just port it as it is

Can't say I've ever felt the urge to play FF1 in 3D, Iwata.

Just think. In the time it takes them to port over ****ing Urban Champion in 3D, they could have ported over ten AAA titles

C'mon man, Urban Champion is totally catering to the core gamer. Obviously Iwata's given this a lot of thought!

Yeah, what's with Urban Champion getting a 3-D port? >_> That makes about as much sense as "SUPERMAN 64: The Criterion Collection."

Also, I'm still really confident that Xenoblade is going to get a NA release. I mean, Nintendo enjoys making money...!

Nintendo needs to hurry up and announce GBA games on 3DS

GBC's library is really garbage tbqh, GBA Virtual Console would be absolutely amazing though

I should think so! considering the process for porting old games is

1) download the rom off the internet
2) plug it into in house emulator, enabling compatibility hacks where necessary
3) release

doesn't take long! most things would take longer than that.

You just answered your own question. If GBA games were available now, no one would be buying any of the original Game Boy games.

Once they exhaust those, then we'll see GBA show up on there I'll bet.

There are still a few great GB/GBC games to see first though! Super Mario Land 2, Wario Land 1-3, two gens of Pokemon, Metroid 2, Donkey Kong '94, Kirby's Dream Land 2, and the Zelda Oracle games.

I'm fine with Nintendo burning through all those before moving on to GBA stuff. Did I forget any significant first-party ones?

Kyoto, Japan -- Reuters -- In an historic move for the famous video game and console giant, Nintendo President and CEO Satoru Iwata issued an open letter to his chairmen and the more than 4,400 employees working under him.

"Please just stop," Iwata reportedly asked, tears running down his cheeks. "Just... stop. Please."

Nintendo refused to comment on the situation when contacted by GameSpot, saying only that "we do not speculate on emotional outbursts."

I don't need to send them anything, they already do exactly what I posted. we know this because their virtual console NES stuff is in ines format, something entirely native to the emulation community and something you wouldn't arrive at on accident. they are literally downloading their stuff off the internet and then selling it.
